I was driving around downtown and looked up at Burley to see if they have added anything and it looks like they have redone the press box.. Anyone confirm this?

Well we lost Juice and Collins so those are pretty big holes to fill.. QB i'm not sure who will step up and take over but replacing a smart 3 year QB will be tough for the knights.. Juice will also be tough to replace but luckily we have Malone,Coe returning and a few young backs who can step up and help the knights out.. Our line should be improved from last season and Defense should be solid this year.. If they can find a QB they should finish 2nd or 3rd.. but a lot can happen in a season i'll see how we look in the jamboree before I start the BRAC pick em this year..

Oh lord lol this is a homer post if I ever have seen one ha ha don't get me wrong Boles was a good running back but he wasn't the best ever to come out of East Tennessee or the whole state.. His stats just look so good cause he got the ball 34 times in a game.. 270 carries in a season they only played 11 games could you imagine if they made to the next round 300 carries lol But he is a good kid and a good running back just not the best ever.. sorry

I'm not sure how long he played maybe a year or 2..But I do know he was on the team.. And idk if he will change much he has been helping murphy out for 2 or 3 years now.. The will prob still be in the flex bone offense. But idk who said we would upset Greeneville but even though that's very nice thinking I don't believe they will beat them since the got a Aloca RB and Tennessee High QB Transfers in. But they will have one of the weakest teams they have had in a while but still light years ahead of the BRAC lol

Well the new head coach is Aaron Christian a GHS grad and former UT QB.. Ben got his position cut out by the school board and couldn't get the history teacher job at the high school so he got the English teacher position at the middle school. He will not be helping out with the team. But that could change.. I believe Coach Christian will do a great job. I expect CD to have another fantastic season. I would like to thank Coach Murphy for being a Great Coach.. He def made CD into a contender in the BRAC and Greene County after being in the cellar for many many years.. Go CD! Oh BTW the new filed house at CD is looking great!! it's slowly looking like a nice football facility!

Oh I assuming he is coming to Greeneville for the top class studies they have right? Or is it for our town that has so much to offer to a young teenager? I know it isn't cause of Scott Niswonger cause he doesn't have any type of pull at GHS you know. It has to be The Greeneville Commons that pulled this kid from Alcoa in He must have a Hatchback so he will fit in just fine. All jokes aside I thought the principal was stopping recruiting at GHS? Rumor has it they have a Tennessee High QB coming in too. But these types of rumors come every season for devils. Will they happen I guess we will see. But it's funny though how these kids randomly land at GHS though.

Well as most people know the big loss of CD was Julius Montgomery aka Juice. CD also lost Logan Collins a 3 year starter at QB. They lost their backup QB as well Matt Smith.. The biggest hole for them to fix will be the QB position if they can get someone to come in and do a decent job CD will have a good year. They Return Bryce Malone and Tyler Coe at RB they have some good young backs coming up so the RB position should be solid this year. The OLine should be pretty good this season. WR i'm not sure what is coming back it was a big hole for us last year with the WR'S Dropping a lot of balls that should of been caught. If we return all the WR'S back we should be good in that area cause last season should of been a lesson for them so they can only improve right? lol Defense should be pretty good about the same from last year. good enough to make stops and slow down teams.. It should be a good year for CD if they can find a QB..

First thing you need to learn how to spell as a CD Grad it pains me to see all these words not spelled right.. Secondly I know your not Alumni or Parent. You are a student and more than likely on the baseball team. See as a student like your self you shouldn't be reading on a forum about High School Sports. It will rub you the wrong way and clearly it did. Third you must be new to this forum let me explain how a forum works. As a fan you support your school and you explain what your school has coming back. Why would Greenecountysportsfan know more about CD than SG? He follows SG and has been all since football. He will know more about SG than a Devil Fan or Black Knight Fan or any one else in the BRAC for that matter because that is his school. He is spreading info around because he is excited about the talent South Greene will have this season and he is entitled to that. I hope you understand that. before you represent CD you need to learn how to post and talk about the upcoming season. You started a fight for no reason and that shows how ignorant you are. I'm done giving you a roast session now go back and do homework. CD has 2 people sign so far Matt Smith and Brandon Banks signed with Milligan. Jameson Painter hasn't decided where he is going to take his talents after his career his over with the knights. CD will have a solid team this season. Losing Collins and Feezell will hurt this squad losing a great pitcher and a solid bat would hurt any team. They will be playing for 4th place if they get hot they might make a run for 3rd. Honestly it's going to be like basketball it's South Greene and Greenevilles Conference to lose.. I think it will be a toss up for first place. Grainger will be 3rd. CD 4th and the rest of the field idk cause I have no clue who is coming back. It should be a great season

You can blame CDHS flaws on the county school board and cutting funding to the new school. our school was suppose to be so much bigger than what it is now. Don't take this wrong or anything our school is very very nice. but short did honestly why don't have a new football stadium still puzzles me since we have the worst facilities in the state as far as providing things to the fan. I would love to have Grainger's Football Stadium nicest in the BRAC imo.. yes nicer than Greeneville's I love Grainger's. Now I think CD is a great spot for the Tournaments. Blame all the down falls of the Tournament on the School Board but besides that all the way from the districts to regionals it was a PACKED house. CD didn't have to give up their locker rooms the other locker rooms have 2 locker rooms inside. so it could fit all the teams that played in tournaments. but overall a great tournament..

This makes me sick. Just adding on to the embrassment of a season we are having. Someone needs to step in and take control of this team. Most of the players have a piss pour attitude this isn't what I'm use to seeing out of CD basketball the attitude of the team is horrible. I can see why people quit this team I honestly don't blame them. The coach has no control over this team..... Something needs to change or CD basketball will never have a successful season. Well intill he is gone.

CD will need to find a QB. if they can do that they can be number 2 this coming up season. they have malone and coe coming back plus some promising freshman and sophomores who got in the end of games and ran the ball really hard. Only thing we need to replace is the QB. I guess we will see what happens.. losing juice hurts but not as much as collins though

he will be at south greene the rest of the year. that's 100% I know his parents and they are not moving him back to CD

This will be a LONG LONG year for my knights. I'm going to miss Collins at CD. He was a heck of a player. He will be missed. But i'm happy for the kid. I don't blame him for moving. I HATE how our basketball program is being run into the ground. The coach is the worst one we have ever had. The kids do not listen to him he has no control over this team. I was at the high school the other day and peaked in the gym to see my knights and they just don't listen to the guy. they was out of control just a sad site to see. Alot of black knight fans miss Joe Kilday. he wasn't a great coach by any means but the players respected him. the don't respect Sam. CD needs some new blood. it's sad that they will never let him go just cause of who he is and his daddy is. he will never have a good season. he is a horrible coach. maybe he will prove me wrong. but I doubt it. they need to get a new coach from out of county.. I'll be cheering for my knights but it will be a rough season.. I have tried to be positive about this season. but it is hard to see the program in this shape

He is known for his offensive skill set. But he is a beast on Defense too. 14 or 15 sacks this season alone. not sure on the number of tackles for loss and tackles alone are but i'm sure they are pretty high.. He has been getting letters from ole miss since his junior year. he has been up there for football camps and pretty sure he had a campus visit after the season. but since there is a coaching change and AD change idk if that will happen.. I think FCS or 1-AA for people who don't know it's called FCS now. is the best place for juice. A school like Georgia Southern would be perfect for juice they run the triple option and him at that full back position in that offense would do some great things for the eagles. I would love to see him to go to my school Appalachian state just don't see him on the offensive side of the ball there. but maybe defense. Boles had a visit up to Boone earlier this season. not sure if I could see him there either. he just doesn't fit there. but I have been wrong before.. But where ever juice goes he will make a impact. and a year in a college lifting program and speed program he will become a monster. he has been cutting the weight back this season and has gotten faster. Couldn't imagine him after one year of a FCS or Division 3 or heck FBS weight lifting program/speed program.. Juice has a bright future that's for sure!! I'm really excited for this game

Yes Tyler Coe has a lot of potential to be a great runner!! he has great vision run's hard and can break off a big one at any moment!! We have been blessed with 4 or 5 Good running backs who can come in and help us move the ball!

That was the 2nd game of the year. This is a totally different team. South Greene killed them then they beat us by 14. Montgomery didn't play the 2nd half. prob made the difference in the game imo. But since then we have played great football. We are getting better each week. we have fought off some key injury's this season and keep fighting! This game will once again better than what people think. People write off CD when they look at our Schedule but according to coacht we have played the better Schedule than North. To me it doesn't matter who you play. It's how you play and we have played good enough to make it to the 2nd round!! and I think we are good enough to make it to the 3rd!!!

Should be a great game. They run the same offense style. They have played in the pre season they last couple of seasons. So they kinda know each other pretty well. The Starters Tied 14 14 this summer. CD was missing a couple of players to in that match-up to!! I think CD will make history!! and move to the 3rd round! for the first time ever!! it will be a great game though!!

I'm glad our QB talks smack. it shows he isn't going to lay down and just take the beating greeneville gives. trash talk is trash talk it happens everywhere on the field just casue Collins is the most vocal doesn't mean anything.. I wish GHS good luck. i'm done arguing with you guys. this time of year it should be about all the county/city team's going deep into the playoffs. They need the support. Here we go again with the comparison from the GHS vs CD game. Look you can't say CD did bad against GHS. CAUSE EVERYONE IN THE BRAC DID BAD AGAINST GREENEVILLE!!! if you want to compare a game to CD and PF it would be the flipping West Greene Game. Where we was up 21-7 and just running all over the buffs and turnovers/bad mistakes lost us that lead and the game. Pigeon Forge reminds me of West Greene Great Running Game don't pass much just POUND THE CRAP OUT OF YOU!! Pigeon Forge does not run the Option Read all game and does not have the best Oline and Dline in the state like Greeneville. So please stop comparing anything Greeneville to the BRAC. It doesn't help Pigeon Forge any cause Truth be told you guys would beat them 50-7 or some large score in that ball park.. it's just not comparable it really isn't.. Not trying to start a pissing match with any Greeneville fan but our QB was playing with a injury that's why he wanted to come out. not going to say what happened cause the QB knows what happened under those piles of devils. That's all i'm saying. And Juice getting tired when it takes 4 or 5 Devils to take him down cause he is a hoss and him getting those tough carries I'm sure he would get tired.
