  1. 30 Hours to go before kickoff. What better way to spend some of that time than listening to the latest episode of the BURMA ROAD Podcast. This weeks episode consist of: BCB~MVPs By the Numbers John sits down with former player, coach, and Jacket Super Fan Kenny Martin (Kenny recently attended his 500th consecutive Trousdale County game-a streak that started back in 1979). Here is a link but the show can be found on major podcast apps. Enjoy! https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/burma-road/id1477664025__;!!Bbg-OcCDlOs!XYe5UVSrIS5TG8KAlJYenz1x4TMfkL1Kw5VEMjKMWjjSVxbNb-ERtdKEaDRlF0QGVt4$
  2. my guess....4A East Ridge (21-14, finished 6-5 and lost to Elizabethton Rd1 34-56), 1A Monterey (20-14, plays @ South Pitt Rd2) and/or Marion Co (17-0, plays @ H2O).
  3. Looking ahead will get you beat every time. Especially in the playoffs. One week at a time is the best approach.
  4. Wow! #Enoughsaid So how bout them vols?
  5. Any chance Friday's game will be streamed?
  6. Cannon is apart of their region. Not sure what the Reg looks like for next year. Id avoid them as well if possible because historically the competition is down and the gate is low.
  7. "Easy" wins don't do anything but present false hope. Iron sharpens Iron bud. Take the medicine and make the moves that will last, not the cheap Dollar Store crap. Cannon Co, no disrespect to the Lions, should be as easy as it gets. The only thing I'd change on their schedule from this year, Replace Stone with TC.
  8. One of the coolest places to play IMO. Always loved going there and never noticed the walk afterwards, even after cramping up my senior year! I know some SC faithful were not happy when this hire was made. The ra ra new age to drum up excitement was a flop and turned some long time supporters away. 2 people on my list if I'm the one searching: Hackett @ Watertown, and Dyer @ TC. Both grads from SC and both very knowledgable in the game. 1 still resides just down the road from the school. Selfishly, I'd want 1 to get it over the other. Heck, they both could go. It's a tough job to start with for sure, but there is talent in the pipeline and if you can establish a solid foundation, SC will be back before long. Maybe they will schedule TC again as well!
  9. Fun Fact: Trousdale County will be playing in their 34th 2nd Round Game Friday Night. 68% of the TSSAA Playoffs have seen the Yellow Jackets playing multiple rounds.
  10. Well I saw the Holder's bringing in 3 Semi Loads of calves to "hold" in the stockyard this week to prep the boys. If your not familiar with TC, the livestock market sits directly behind the practice field. Your ALL NATUREL air fresheners never smelt more like home for these boys!
  11. Games in Pikeville. Jackets will have to go behind enemy lines to advance. The warriors have been underestimated all year. The Jackets could be looking towards w3 and if that’s the case, W3 will see the Jackets on the Hardwood. I’m expecting 4Qs of hard nosed football.
  12. He is an outstanding kid as well. Very level headed. I know his parents are proud.
  13. Claiborne is a Jr. Rankins and Hicks are Srs. Pickett is a load as well and a Sr.
  14. I don’t have my stat sheet pulled up. Still waiting on a signal
  15. BC got hurt in the 2Q of the Watertown game (w3) and is trying to work his way back. At that point of the season he had 250 yds on about 25-30 carries. Since then, he has played 2 snaps. 1 rush vs Portland, 31 yd TD and 1 rush vs Tyner, 65 yd TD. Tonight’s run, he looked better than he did on the Portland run. He is electric for sure.
  16. Yea it sounded like a car hitting a concrete wall. I believe he was stunned.
  17. Much respect for Coach T. When you hear of Tyner Football, he is the first thing that comes to mind, much like TC and Satterfield for many. Best wishes to him. Also best wishes to the seniors for Tyner. They played hard and tonight i witnessed one of the hardest hits I’ve seen and heard in many years.
  18. Totally get it. They do a good job of painting the picture. I enjoy listening to them as well. I never missed a replay when I played. I’d make it a point to get up Saturday morning to relive the game from the night before. I actually have the ‘05 Title game audio saved and listen to Jerry and Mike Carey call it from time to time.

  20. JH is a great coach and even better man. I actually go to church with him and knowing the values and morals that he is instilling in young men, regardless if they put on the Gold Hat or not, makes me happy. He for sure has a bright future ahead of him and will be a great HC if he chooses to go that route. As for the new potential new region, i'm glad the tigs are in it. TC can't let them get away as the reigning champs. And i like trading out some of the old for new blood. Harp and WC will be new experiences as i don't think TC has ever played either one.
  21. I dont recall who asked for it but I was able to get them boyz back in the studio to mix something up for ya. Check out the latest Burma Road Podcast, I have yet to listen to it but excitingly hitting play as soon as this is posted. This weeks episode: BCB~MVPs By The Numbers John interviews a TC legend, Dewayne Harper!! (If im not mistaken, he still holds the record for the longest TD in a Title game) Enjoy! https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/burma-road/id1477664025*episodeGuid=2d7682d2-f973-42ce-9d79-5823c965dac3__;Iw!!Bbg-OcCDlOs!VCkXTDQFFs0VcbHKuhWVmTB0xGrUaJMc-rXAKPYRjbFeQIl4Ndtr3kqhs2KyLIiE_eA$
  22. As for Tyner folk coming up this evening, please be safe. Looking forward to the night and seeing what the Rams have.

  24. I keep the Coach T scoreboard updated if you want time and score
  25. Not sure. I send my bit to them each week (have not this week due to work obligations). I do know that John (one of the host) has struggled to find time this year between a new job and a new baby. Maybe I can get them out of wood shed and get them to feed the hamsters so the wheels will start to turn again.
