  1. Spoken like a true champion. P.S. Sommers, it could be done here, however, the powers that be do not want it.
  2. I thought Coach Germantown was down this year. Has Coach Bradly stepped up with this team? Please advise. Good showing for Germantown!!! Good Luck at the state.
  3. I am shocked that Germantown won the Region. What happened with Collierville and Cordova? Please advise.
  4. pattonboysdad, I am here, however, my job keeps me traveling, however, I will be at the state tournament this weekend. I accept your apology and accept your reason as to why you misunderstood my post. Apology accepted. I am glad you understand I was not trying to dog anybody, just advising what other schools do. I will try to look you up.
  5. You are correct Raider76. The schools need X amount of money to run. When the funds fall short, our political people raise the taxes on our property taxes to help fund education, therefore, a parent paying to send their child to a private school is also helping to fund an eduation for a public school student. Enough said.........
  6. Wrestler gives the Ref the bird while the Ref has his back turned. Nice. Did Jimmy "Mouth of the South" have the Ref distracted? Did this occur at the Mid-South Coleseum(?)? Was a chair involved? Was "The King" doing play by play? Oh, wrong post. I thought this was WWE. Sorry
  7. How much is tuition at any public school? Nothing, (scholarship) it is paid for by taxes including parents who send their children to private schools. Therefore, they are not paying the full cost of the tuition because private school parents are assisting in the tax money being used to fund public schools. Again, what is the tuition at a public school?
  8. Maniack, I agree with you and believe that basketball is king in Memphis, right behind Jerry Lawler, and I too, have heard some wild stories, rumors of what goes on over there. Just look at the elections.
  9. Having read your post, I can see why something so simple would be so difficult to read. TAXES are paid by everybody, not just the families who attend public school. So, parents paying to send their children to private schools are assisting in the paying of the education of students in public schools. Also, you do not have to attend the school you are zoned for. If the school that you want to attend offers a class that is not being offered at the school in your zone, you can requestt a change. Not all students who attend public schools are zoned for their respective schools. You are the one who absolutely does not make SENSE if you believe that public schools do not look at athletes from other zones. You may want to call it something different. I never mentioned recruiting until you brought it up. My post makes perfect SENSE and regardless of how you want to redirect the topic, TAXES pay for the education which are paid for public and private parents. This is called financial aide.
  10. Even though Notre Dame and Knoxville Catholic have moved to DI, I am sure the Catholic students are paying less tuition then their non-Catholic counterparts because the diocese or their parish church pays a portion, if they are contributing to their parish church. Could a Notre Dame/Knoxville Catholic parent advise. Thanks.
  11. Sly, you are correct in the fact most private schools went to DII because they give financial aid, however, you must remember that public schools give financial aid. No student who attends school in his district pays for the cost of his education. The students also receive books and transportation. I see so many school buses taking students to Red Bank, Soddy Daisy, Hixon, and even East Ridge. I bet you none of these students are paying for this, therefore, they are receiving financial aid.
  12. My post was not pointing fingers at the coaching staff. All I ever said was this has happened in the past, that is the reason many coaches schedule 2 matches the week after the dual. Funny how I got attacked for saying this and yet, most of the follow up posts have stated the same thing about scheduling matches after the duals. Also, I asked a question about the bite marks. Anybody out there know if there were an upper/lower set of teeth prints & was it stretched across the forearm? I am glad you were not offended by my statement. I was just advising what other teams do.
  13. Charlie, This is exactly what I stated in my first post. Go back and read and you will see.
  14. pattonboysdad, You are pathetic. How did I shift the blame? I am truly sorry the kid will not get to wrestle, however, I never defended the ref's. I only stated what a few other teams do in case something happens at the state. Your statement "this kind of response and others is what makes people go off on refs in these threads..." where did I defend the ref's? Your lame attempt at trying to throw me under the bus and make stuff up is ridiculous. Why did you jump on me like you did? What is it with your comment "everyone of your posts is positive"? Liar. You slammed me when I did nothing. How is this positive? Go back to giving everybody an update on how great Blackman wrestling is doing and how great your kids are doing in those great tournaments Blackman participates in. Oh yes, you stopped that. Makes me wonder if your team did not beat everybody like you talked about. P.S. Next time you try tearing me down and making things up, STOP! You only make yourself look like a fool. pattonboysdad, I will take this as if you were delirious when you read this post and responded, however, knowing who you are, I digress.
