  1. JB didn't look good against Westmoreland on Friday. I think it was 3-0 (Westmoreland) with the 1's vs. 1's. We play DCA in the East Robertson Jamboree on Friday. I stand by my prediction that they'll only win 2 or 3 games this year. I'm giving them wins against RBS and Pickett Co. They might pull one out somewhere else but I doubt it.
  2. They didn’t sniff the end zone in the first hour of play. They may have scored 3 times after that first hour...I only stayed for an hour.
  3. I watched the first hour of the 1’s versus 1’s and neither offense scored or moved the ball very well at all. The only score I saw was when a JB player ran a fumble back about 60 yards for a TD.
  4. JB scrimmaged McEwen this past Friday...it wasn't good. Neither team looked good. I don't see this JB team winning more than 2 or 3 games. JB scrimmages Westmoreland this Friday...
  5. That was the plan but the rezoning didn't result in much change.
  6. I vote Gordonsville until someone knocks them off. I don’t have very high expectations for JB. As others have said, JB lost a lot of starters. On top of that, our numbers are low so depth will be an issue (probably around 30 or so players). With that said, I do think we have a good core group coming back but we can’t afford ANY injuries. If Clay and Monterey are improved over last year then JB will struggle to make the playoffs.
  7. FYI your profile says you joined March 13, 2002...
  8. Yeah horrible is 0-10 to 2-8. The winner of this game can say they’re one of the best 16 (1A) teams in the state. That’s far from horrible!
  9. We have one common opponent (Huntland) and we both lost pretty bad to them. JB lost bad because we had half the team out. I’m not sure about LV.
  10. Don’t judge the coaches and the team based on what I say, I’m just a fan.
  11. If healthy, I don’t think so but with so many injuries this year maybe so. I think we should’ve been every bit as good as we were last year, if not better. The injuries hurt us in two ways. 1 those guys weren’t on the field and 2 it didn’t allow this team to gel and grow and develop any consistency or rhythm. There was a 2 game stretch where we were playing our best ball leading up to the Gordonsville game but then our starting tailback went out in the first quarter of that game and we were back to a 4-5-string RB. Others have played hurt for a majority of the year and that hasn’t helped either.
  12. Greenback Whitwell Cornersville Lake Co.
  13. I think the Lookout Valley bus is leaving in about 30 minutes. They should make to Cedar Hill about an hour before the game starts. I predict JB by 14.
  14. Lookout Valley (5-4) makes the long (160+ miles) bus ride to Cedar Hill to take on Jo Byrns (6-4) in round 1 of the playoffs. I expect JB to win and advance to round 2 to take on undefeated Whitwell. Thoughts?
  15. Looks like JB is back to their 4/5 string RB. Doesn’t bode well...
  16. The rain has moved in here...it’s light though.
  17. +1 It just feels like their year to do it. I think it will be high scoring though.
  18. It's going to take a group effort on defense to bring down Givens at RB. I'm sure G'ville will throw it some but stopping the run is the #1 priority.
