  1. Good post. You never know who might be around the corner at the FBI. Do they have spelling classes at the FBI? Do they have spell-check? If not, I will help you with a couple of words: "we've" and "he's".
  2. I have re-read your posts and have the following observations: Is Elijah really a sophomore? You did not say 100% for sure. Did he really qualify for the NCAA tournament? You did not say 100% for sure. I wonder if he even wrestles since you did not say 100% sure. Wow, unless you say 100%, I will take everything you post with a grain of salt.
  3. No reason to backtrack. You posted that you did not think Leen or Simpson were not seeded as high as Elijah their freshman year. That statement got debunked. Don't you think?
  4. You might want to look at Alex Whitworth from McCallie who is wrestling 113 lbs now but might be 108 after Christmas. He is the real deal and from North Georgia. Give him a few more weeks and you will see.

  6. Closer than I thought; however, Coach Nelson at Baylor has done a great job of keeping Baylor at the top year in and year out. Coach Smith of Bradley has done a great job as well and it looks like he has his wrestlers at peak performance even early in the year. You have to love the passion he shows for the sport and for his wrestlers. Great to see these two programs wrestling each other. This match will only make both teams better down the road. Congrats to Bradley for winning and for wrestling Baylor and all comers. I wish I could have been there to see this match as I am sure it was packed and a great atmosphere. These young men will be able to talk about this match for years and years. We need more of these type of matches. Looking forward to the Cleveland Duals and more great matches. Hoping all will go well for all wrestlers and nobody gets hurt and there are many close matches. This is the premiere Dual Tournament in the state and in my opinion, better than the State Dual Tournament. Looks like Cleveland and Soddy have taking a big step toward the tops with their wins this past weekend.
  7. Why is Cleveland wrestling Science Hill on this Friday night as opposed to Father Ryan? Cleveland vs Father Ryan on Friday night before the Cleveland Duals has been a tradition for many many years. It was always a great start to the season and a highly anticipated match. It is always great to see the former Cleveland wrestlers at this match. It is a shame that it will not occur this year. Will we see Ryan vs Cleveland in the Duals or will Ryan be on the opposite side of the bracket?
  8. Do you think that Nolensville out recruited Ryan and BA? I am sure tuition is much cheaper at Nolensville than either Ryan or BA. Not sure why it was relevant to include your note about Ryan and BA being runner-up. What purpose did this serve?
  9. Thanks for posting the matches so that we as fans can see high school wrestling. It is great to see the season start. Can't wait to see Ryan at Cleveland on Friday night and then the Cleveland Duals the second weekend of December. That is always a great match and a great start to the weekend.
  10. Congrat's to the men who are being inducted into the Hall of Fame. These are all men who have dedicated their lives to wrestling to make it better. They are all worthy. I just want to give a shout-out to Paul Schulz who always wrote about wrestling and kept wrestling in the spotlight. Paul, your articles kept us in touch with what was going on with the wrestling community and the wrestlers themselves. Your articles allowed us into the their lives. Your dedication and constant keeping wrestling in the front kept our sport meaningful. Thank your for what you did and thank you for all that will be inducted what you did to help wrestling grow.
  11. So sorry to hear of this passing. Mr. Simpson was the head of the family from Nashville wrestling; and Chattanooga sends out its deepest sympathy. I remember seeing his wife and him at the McCallie Invitational Tournament; the State Tournament and every wrestling event their family attended cheering on their sons who were coaching and their grandchildren who were wrestling. Rest in Peace.
  12. Great job by all of those who competed in this great tournament. You should all be proud of representing Tennessee like you did. This type of competition will do you well in the future. Best of luck and congratulations again.
  13. Arlington from Memphis is in 2nd place? Wow. Good for Memphis
  14. Why did McCallie hold those wrestlers out of the Father Ryan match, yet, they wrestled against MBA? Looks like Father Ryan was wrestling with a heavy heart. Read BB's article for explanation. Great article BB. Looking forward to State Duals.
  15. Ryan beat Baylor by 11 I think at the Cleveland Duals and beat them by +20 at Father Ryan. You do realize that Father Ryan was not at full strength at the Cleveland Duals? What matches do you think Baylor would have won at the Cleveland Dual that would have turned the match around? If they were more dominant, what matches? Also, I believe Baylor came with their best team at Father Ryan and it was not enough. What will Baylor do to change the score? You are right, Father Ryan is well coached, but they are well coached at Father Ryan and on the road. Do you think it will be a different at the Cow Palace? I am still wondering how Baylor could beat them. Please explain.
  16. I did not see this big of loss coming. Baylor only lost by 11 points when they wrestled Father Ryan for the Cleveland Duals Title. What changed and is this the way it is going to be at the state or will Baylor move their line-up around to help close the gap? Is Baylor missing some starters or is Father Ryan this good?
  17. What part of the state are you in? I would imagine most club coaches would be receptive for you to come watch their practices and pick up on some of the technique. I am sure there are even a few in the high school that would love to assist you. Good luck to you and your boys.
  18. Great job at a 1st stab at the pound for pound. Your D! rankings look good. How much does Sammy Evans weigh compared to Nicholas Boykin? The reason I ask is I believe that Sammy placed higher at the Virginia High School Nationals at Virginia Beach last year. If this is not true, my aplogies; however, I thought Sammy placed higher than Nicholas. Boykin at 1st and Evans at 4th, I have to ask. I know that Boykin won Fargo; however, how many can go to the Dakato's? Ryan Parker at 6th? I do not know of another wrestler in Tennessee who has dominated his weight class every year except for his Freshman year. He should be higher. What about T. J. Hicks from Bradley? He dominated his weight class last year. Ben Stacey at 10th? He has split with the wrestler from MBA the last few years. Tucker Russo at #8, how many matches has he lost in Tennessee over the last few years? He is a great wrestler, but not pound for pound. Just my thoughts and opinion.
