  1. South starters 42 at half, South 2nd teamers 21 in 3rd quarter and the scrubs get 7 in the 4th for a grand total of South 70 to Betsy 07. The defensive player that missed the tackle to keep Betsy scorless , will be benched til playoffs. This one will not be close....... a small 3A school thats rebuilding....not a chance
  2. I bet South scores over 40 points and maybe over 50 with the rain and a good RB and good QB and receivers it favors the offense they know where their routes are running and when they are making cuts the defense has to anticipate and slips a lot on wet turf, also it's good to be playing at home on a wet field. look what happened to a good Boone team on a wet field.....North hangs around for the 1st quarter and the the bottom falls out....this is just reality.... I just hope North keeps their heads up and wins the 1st round of playoff and reps the MLC well...... getting blown out by South, one of the best 4A teams in the state is nothing to be ashamed of.... 49 to 7 /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />
  3. This score is the closet I've seen to being right. North has their program turned around should be good in 3A next year. South will stuff the box and dare them to throw and if they do it could get worse.
  4. This should be a good close game but Erwin seems to find a way to lose the close ones 28 to 27 to Hampton and 27 to 23 to Bristol. I feel they will find a way to lose this one also, although being played in Erwin may factor in the final score.
  5. I'm not that close to the program but it is a small school and I think a lot of their better Athletes play either Baseball which they have a great tradition and have won some State titles and/or Basketball which they always field a good team but football just takes numbers which they do not have if 1 , 2 or 3 of their best athletes opts to play either base or basketball and not to play football and struggle playing up to the next classification. I may be wrong but thats my opinion on why a small 3A team cannot compete in a 4A district in football.
  6. This will be another good game for the 1st few minutes. South just to deep and disciplined to not blow the Blazers out. too many skill players they will score early and often....... 42 to 07. At least we are playing a true 4A school student population wise. I guess the true 4A in our future is Maryville, at least for the rest of this year.
  7. Johnson County will be right in this one........ until the game starts...... /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> South 7 TD's or 49... to Mountain Cities 2 TD's or 14.....Fletcher 200+ yards 3 TD's and Davenport 250 Passing and 3 TD's 2 to KK and 1 to SW.. the JV will score the 7th TD......end of story...
  8. This will be a Routin' in the Mountin'.........49 to 13
  9. From Tri-Cities Sports , looks like South may have a few next year... RECRUITING THE REBELS ??“ Several Sullivan South players have the eye of college recruiters. Left guard Hunter Beedle continues to receive attention from several schools including Middle Tennessee State, where he took an unofficial visit last weekend and witnessed the Blue Raiders??™ upset of ACC-foe Maryland. MTSU has also shown interest in Kitzmiller, who got to catch passes at a Blue Raider camp from quarterback Bradley Davenport. Speaking of Davenport, he??™s receiving calls from Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Louisville. ???A coach from the Tennessee staff also called and talked to my dad a couple of weeks ago,??? said Davenport. Curiously, all is quiet regarding running back Taylor Fletcher??¦for now. ???Fletcher has really worked hard on his speed since last season,??? said Carter. ???You can see he??™s got an extra little burst he didn??™t have last year.??? With 357 yards and four touchdowns in two games, Fletcher won??™t be under the recruiting radar for long.
  10. They were going thru the motions playing UC, just waiting on greenville and I feel they will be spot on this week..... as will the whole south team. This one will be interesting for about a quarter. South should blow this one out ........... /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" /> I say South 42 G Devils 14..........TF 200 rushing and BD 250 passing another 400+ offensive night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Next Up: Hampton at home Monday and at Happy Valley on Friday. 3. Science Hill (14-6): The Hilltoppers righted their ship by beating Sullivan East on Tuesday, but then stubbed their toe Friday at Sullivan Central. They are still tied for second in the Big 9 and it is not time to panic. They just have to be aware of the possibilities when they go to Volunteer on Tuesday. Morristown West (11-5): The Trojans have won eight straight and lead the IMAC with a 5-0 record. 18. Kitzmiller is a Junior as is Fletcher (Offense) they made 1st team All Coference as did Garvin and Clint Phillips (defense) which are sophmores. I think lineman Beddle (junior) made 2nd team....
  19. I think South will be the team to beat, with TH and John. County battling for top honors also. A lot can happen between now and then. Players grow, players lose interest etc...but a lot of game are won with hard work in the off season...
  20. From your statement sounds like Blue Devils got all the calls in your gym, WT /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> How's that work........You need to treat the Refs before (pre-game meal) and after the game (gatorade, Comp coupons to the Greenville AppleBee's etc....) or just stop fouling so much...............yeah that's the ticket....
