There is a diffrence in having confidence in your team and making an idiot out of yourself. What is worse is when you make an idiot out of yourself in reguards to milan football, it makes everyone else rooting for milan football look like an idiot too. Wait till next week. if both teams come out alive (im very certain milan will, not so sure about peabody but they probably will too) Then hoop and holller about the Milan-Peabody game, but untill then please stick to the games that are going to be played THIS friday night.

Trenton needs to worry about the cobras from Memphis or they will be waiting to pay seven dollars to watch the next game from the stands.

Carver won their region. Their region is the weakest in the state. Trenton got third in their region. Their region is probably the toughest in the state. Carver is the higher seed because they won their region and thats just the way life works. Trenton will none the less be favored in the game therefore if Carver wins it will be an upset. Pretty simple concept.

No thats not my only comeback. Given the fact that Gibson County is terrible at fooball but you are none the less an expert on everyone elses team, and you jump bandwagons faster than the games can be played, my comebacks are virtualy endless. Now if you consider Fooball and Girls Basketball to be "equal" then yes we're even. And since football gets over pretty early there at Gibson County and basketball is all you have then thats fine. Personally, I prefer football but to each his own. As for the football game. I think Carver will upset the Tide.

Milan has gone to Memphis to play playoff games several times. When is the last time Gibson County played in memphis in a playoff game?

I agree 100%. The playoffs are the playoffs regardless of what each team’s record is, Carver is a higher seed and should have home field or at least Trenton should not have home field. However, it would not surprise me if the allure of making more money didn't entice Carver school officials to agree to the trade. And if Carver agrees, the TSSAA will not turn down the extra gate money generated because of where the game is played. Trenton could even pay another school and play at a neutral site (probably not though) $ MONEY$

A few years ago a Milan-JCM game that was originally to be played at rothrock (or how ever it is spelled) stadium was moved to Milan for similar reasons. (I think there was a violent disturbance at the last game held there) JCM got the gate money and wore their home jerserys and everything went ok. JCM undoubtedly made more money since the game was at Milan and Carver would also make more money if the game was at Peabody. (as would the TSSAA) Most Memphis teams dont play at a true "home" field anyways so If everyone makes more money (especially the TSSAA) and Carver agrees to it, it could verily easily happen. Its all about the $$$$$$$$$$

I would also like to hear some info on Carver. In years past they have had a team capabable of beating good teams. It sounds like they played a killer non region schedule and beat all the 2a schools they played. They beat BTW worse than we did (32-0). Just because they come from a week region dosent mean that Trenton will walk all over them. I think I'm calling for the upset too. There is a pretty good chance that Harper wont be the fastet man or the best athlete on the field Friday. (even if carver's players get absolutley no recognition) Trenton ain't good enough to overlook anyone. It would make sense for Carver to come to Trenton. That way insetad of 1000 fans from trenton driving to the depths of Memphis, 12 fans from Memphis would drive to Trenton. Probably ain't gonna happen though.

I agree with that. I have a ton of respect for Huntington though and even if we have the best team I never count them out. I think we had the best team Week 1 too. Hopefully we will make a statement in this one.

Then milan side was a little confused about that too. I guess the reffs had defense on their mind and since our fullback got back across the line before the ball was snaped it was ok. No harm no foul.

That bulldog picture is the one usually associated with our alma mater. I think (not 100%) that '68 is when our alma mater was written my Mrs. Johnnie Hale. My be off on that but I know Mrs. Hale wrote it. Our 1st football team was in '22. Andy Holt (later the president of UT) was on it. Sounds like Peabody was indeed out coached. Scott didn't know how to coach a game of this magnitude. In a normal game they would have probably kicked the pat, but since they have never been in that spot in a playoff game, they thought they should go balls out and make it easier for Westveiw to win. The players bailed them out. Congratulations to Peabody.

The 12th man incident happened in '05 at Pauld Ward. We played the regular season game In milan but the playoff game was in huntington. Reguardless, that game will have about as much impact on this game as Chris Donald. None. I'm over it (at least I dont talk about it anymore) and I assure you that I had more at stake in that game than anyone on this board so lets just not bring it up. As for Bledsoe, he is good. He over ran a couple of balls in Westveiw but if you think that he hasn't been hitting people this year then you havent been to many games. He has had some kill shots. He is doing something right because no one has been able to pass on us all year. When he starts costing us points and missing open field tackles then talk about him. As for this game, Milan by at least 3 tds.

Yeah, this would be a better discussion if it were 2 sided. I imagine they will show up before to long. They wouldn't miss a Milan-Huntington game in Mid-November.

All the respect in the world goes out the JCS Eagles. You did better than anyone gave you a chance to do your first year in 2a. There are well established schools who have played at this level for years who didn't make the playoffs and you did. Your entire program exudes class and sportsmanship. Your fans are wonderful. Even when it became obvious that JCS wasn't going to win, I didn't see a single fan leave early. A lot of people don??™t think about it but that means a lot to the kids playing. To those seniors from JCS, you have nothing in the world to be ashamed of. You played a great season and a great game. You earned a little jewelry in 1a and you stepped up into the hardest 2a region in the state and you made the playoffs, your first round was against the region champs and you played a great game. Volsken, I'm assuming that the numbers at the end of your post are a verse and scripture, what book? And by the way, the bulldawgs are honored to have the eagles as friends. You have earned your respect in this region and this town.

MOST of the fans were excited, and i'm not sure why. I was hoping Westveiw would win. Trenton played us closer than Westveiw did and with Westview, you know what you're getting. Apparently Trenton has tweeked some stuff latley. When is the last time (before tonight) Trenton won a playoff game? Congratulations. (assuming that milan beats huntington this week) Milan will have their hands full the day after Thanksgiving. Since Trenton is playing some weak Memphis team with a loosing record they will be able to focus somewhat one the third round whereas we can only take it one game at a time. Again, congrats.

If you want to get on coach t as a player and read the post then that??™s fine. (I wouldn't recommend it but its your decision) However, you really shouldn't post, and if you do you shouldn't tell everyone on the board that you are a player in your first post. Not only does it make it easier to discredit your opinion, posting things can lead to controversy among your team. (which you should already know by now) Nothing that anyone will say on this board should make a difference to you or your team. You should just play the game the best you can and don??™t worry about what other people think or talk about on coach t. We are all just has been??™s, want to be??™s or parents shooting off opinions and stats.
