YES, YES, YES. Someone finally made the man go!!!!! I'm so excited for the possibilites in store for Richland over the next couple of years. I just hope the administration looks as hard for a good coach as GC has over the years. I hope they don't just fill the position with a "good ol boy" but really really search for a good coach! It's time to do your job men and find a man who knows how to coach--regardless of his name or where he is from. Thanks in at least getting Taylor out of there!

All his crap was really getting old wasnt it? I'm so proud that Giles County finally made this man resign! Go Richland Raiders---we are so excited about the thoughts of a real coach coming in there and turning this program around in the next couple of years!

Ask the Assisstant Giles Co. School Director Would that be Debbie Braden? Isn't she the asst. to mr. Jackson? Is this the "fishy" part of why Taylor has been allowed to coach for so long? I do agree that athletics can bring a school down because there is less school pride....no bragging rights....kids find other things to do. The school system there HAS to do it's job and allow this program to be built back up!!!

Oh, it is fine with Giles County. Always has been. Back in the 80's, there was so much anamosity coming from the rest of the county because Richland was in the front seat. Always made me chuckle because the local paper would have G.C. on the front page detailing how close the G.C. game was even though they lost by 40 while richland was on the third with a brief mention of their 40 point blow out. All of the commissioneers and school board members are G.C. alumni or their kids attend G.C. that was 20 yrs. ago!!!!! Couldn't this be viewed as some kind of "incompetence" by the school board for allowing this man to coach this long with a losing record? I don't care how much they "love " GC, shouldn't they be required to provide a competent person to coach the football team? If he were a teacher, and his test scores were as low, wouldn't the state come in and put him on probabtion or something? This whole scenario just doesn't make any sense. A coach with his kind of losing record usually isn't kept on board for as long as he has been kept. Just smells fishy!

Another losing season gone by. I hate it so bad for the players who have gone through here over the years. Why why why does Giles County continue to let this man coach?

With no chance for playoffs, no one there cares. I do care for the player's sake, but always have and that is why I have been so adiment that Richland find a new coach. Let's just focus on a new year next season!!!

Congratulations to mt. Pleasant. I hate it for our boys that they couldn't win. Maybe when staff changes are made next year things will be better.

fbman44 I don't care who you are.... whether it be the coach's son or the director of schools...doesn't matter to me. This board doesn't regulate who can and can't post. We all have the right to free speech. I'm glad however that you do feel we need a new coach. As far as "getting over it"??? NO, I will not get over it. As far as being "goofy"? What is goofy in your mind? Is stating the facts goofy? Is the fact that Richland has moved to Class A and still only won 1 game this season goofy? you keep saying there is nothing we can do. Why is that?? what do you know that we don't know? I will always state the facts on here and the facts don't lie bro. One more thing that is bothering me--I was looking at school web pages here on Coacht earlier, and all had pages set up except Richland. Giles county football has a real nice page.. When I clicked on Richland School's name, there was a BLANK. do you have any idea how upset that made me? No one at Richland even cares enough about the players to have information about them posted on coachT's list of schools sites. What does that say about pride? Just another example of some people there thinkiing that anyone who REALLY cares is just "goofy" I guess.

yeah he is. You all will see tonight when we play. Just watch him and the stupid plays he calls. Thanks for the offer on a coach, but we can't wait 4 yrs. You boys from Richland play hard tonight. WE are all for you guys and not bashing you all at all as some posters are trying to make it sound. It's the coach that we are unhappy with and hopefully we can get that changed for next year.

Wow, you have the same kind of attitude as the coach don't you? You think you know that I haven't talked to Taylor? I have talked to administrators too over the past couple of years, but just like you, they are all either in denial or could care less. Unbelievable.... And then you say not to complain about what we have as far as talent goes? Remember Bo Wallace? yes, he moved, like you want everyone else who doesn't like Taylor to move.... Easy solution for a bad coach so as to not look bad huh? So as to have an excuse! Bo is a great player and I've never heard him complain about being treated bad at Giles County.I don't believe he's ever been called a >>> idiot, etc.... In fact, he and his family know that he would have never been as great as he is without the coaching he gets from those at Giles County. At Richland, he would have been left alone on the sidelines during practice to come up with the plays for the coach cause the coach doesn't know how.. There has been some really good talent come through Richland but their parents weren't able to just up and move like Bo's were, so don't be blaming the loss record on "no talent" You are sounding more and more like coach Taylor everytime you get on here. Excuses, exuses.... What is especially interesting is how you seem to know that no amt. of complaining will do any good.... You must already know that Taylor has that job for as long as he wants it due to kissing somebody's tail.... I figured this all along, but it's interesting to see him come out through discussion on the boards.

I HAVE talked to him and to the administrators about him and it was a complete waste of time, so dont even bring this topic up again. As far as you going on and on about how "hard" the job is? Yes, it IS hard for someone who doesn't know what they are doing. A person who is good at what they do gets up each day and does it with syle and is successful... A person who is trying to do something they don't know how to do will fail and will have people like you talking about how "hard" it is. Again, Don't tell people to take their children elsewhere. We demand Richland takes this "coach" elsewhere.! We are parents who demand the same kind of coaching as GCHS has... Why should we settle for less???

Oh my goodness. This post is supposed to be about the game--the game that was lost--another game in a series of games that have been lost. This has nothing to do with former players who never got to play--and more stupid excuses for coach taylor... This has only to do with the win/loss record of the head coach at Richland. This is about Richland football moving into Class A this year and still not winning! Everything else you are talking about football is personal. Let's stay away from the personal and focus on the record!!!! The record has been on the loss side of the column for way too many years. It's time for a change..
