In response to how the other teams in the district were doing, Stewart County got 2nd and Waverly got 3rd. However the district tournament has now started and any three of these teams and possibly Sycamore as well have a chance at it.

In round one Montgomery Central was put out by Stewart County, Harpeth was put out by Sycamore, and Cheatham was put out by Waverly. In the second round, Waverly beat Stewart County (6-4) and Creekwood beat Sycamore (12-5). The next games will be on Monday and will consist of Waverly vs. Creekwood in the winners' bracket and Stewat Co vs. Sycamore in the losers' bracket one of which will be going home.

To all who read this, I want them to know that Creekwood is not in the clear. On CW's first meeting with Waverly, Waverly had just lost one of their only two seniors who played second base and was a key hitter. Waverly is now out of that slump and played CW tight in a 2-0 loss. Next time Waverly may come out on top because when playing well we sure have the potential. CW had beaten teams such as Stewart Co and Harpeth by only a small margin which shows that nearly every team in this district can hang with them.

guess we WILL see you in the yard

GO WAVERLY!!!

True come district time everything is wide open and anything can happen.Tigerette neglected to mention that CW beat Waverly by a pretty good margin the first time.Beat SC 5-0 once and by 1 once. Those games are close because of of college signee Lacey Keatts.CW had their own slump the other nite against Waverly, but came out to get 12 hits against Sycamore last nite.Waverly always has a good hitting team and did a good job beating Stewart Co.Should be a good game to watch Monday nite at the Hawk's nest.

As for the prospective successor to the coaching helm, the mention of esteemed mentor Nick Saban's absence prompts a discerning hesitation towards alternative candidates, for excellence is the sole criterion deemed worthy of emulation.  Pray, may I inquire as to your esteemed identity?
