At Marshall Co. CW did not bring their bats to the Camden game. Will have to find them by Friday.

It was a 4 hour rain delay and a complete change of location Britney Caldwell led the Red Hawks to a 4-0 win with I believe 13 K's and giving up only one hit. Game did not start until about 9:00.

Sycamore forced a second game today,but the CW girls won the 2nd game 7-1 to be the 11AA District Champs. Congratulations to Britney Caldwell, Whitney Batey, Britney Steverson and Amanda Hyndman for making All-District.

Mature pitchers are like Britney Caldwell for CW who had about 300 K's as a soph and helped lead a second year school with only one sr to the state. Mature pitchers adjust to the way an umpire calls instead of making faces and rolling eyes. Britney walked to the mound as a 14 yr. old starter and never looked back.

Britney Caldwell pitcher for CW hit her 1000th K this past weekend as the CW took second place at the Border Battle. Do any of th 11AA teams,besides CW, have anyone signing to play college ball this year? What about Coty Garrett from Sycamore? I know Allie from Harpeth is playing somewhere. Congratulations to the Red Hawks on a great finish at Lincoln Co.

Congratulations to Britney Caldwell on her #1000 strike out yesterday at the Border Battle. It came against Brentwood very early yesterday morning and she had many more for the day.She led CW to the championship game of the Border Battle. She could be an ace for any one and Creek Wood is so proud of her.

Britney is going to Mid-Continent in KY and Autumn is going to Webster University in St. Louis. Both are great academic schools and have good softball programs. Before that all the CW players want to get back to state.

Creek wood has 2 players at this time going to the next level. Britney Caldwell has signed and Autumn Sensing has given her verbal committment. They have a couple more that are potential college players should they decide to pursue it.

Sycamore fans are completely classless. I cannot believe that the coaches and administration allow that type of behavior.From the time CW stepped into the batter's box the Sycamore fans were calling out the CW players by name and saying trash about them. CW fans stayed in check until the 6th inning when they just had all they could take. I know newspaper people that refuse to go anywhere in Cheatham county because the fans are so obnoxious. If our students acted in that way they would be sitting in the principal's office first thing the next morning.The little girl chants that the fans do are so impressive too.

Congratulations to the Red Hawks on a great win last nite and don't worry about HLFAN68 sour grapes always make people bitter. I just hope he is not one of the so called "mature athletes" since his statements show him to be very immature.

Creek Wood defeated Cheatham Co. 10-0 last nite.That being said though I was impressed by this team and the way the new coach is doing things.The girls came out excited and enthusiastic and aggressive. I think this young team may rattle some cages in years to come if the coaches continue to work as hard with them. I am glad for this program to finally get the interest the girls deserve.Keep up the good work.

The kids in the 2nd accident have all been released I think.Danielle is still in a coma,but does respond to pain and some other things.One of the football guys also had an accident on Fri. nite after the game ,but was not injured.Bad weekend for the CW kids.Keep Danielle and her family in your prayers.

Believe it or not,one day after Danielle's wreck there was another wreck critically injuring 3 more Creek Wood students.That happened as the kids were leaving the homecoming pep rally to go to the homecoming parade.That is 4 students in 2 days that had to be taken to the Vandy trauma unit.

Homecoming for Creek Wood is Fri. nite. One of our senior attendants was badly injured in a car accident Thurs. afternoon. She had to be life flighted to Vanderbilt where she underwent emergency surgery for a blood clot on her brain.Waiting for her to wake up.Danielle is a beautiful girl with lots of friends.Please say a prayer for her and her family and friends.We will miss her at homecoming but I hope everyone will be thinking of her.

Offense has scored 62 pts in 3 games.does not sound too shabby to me.esp with some injuries causing some to have to carry the load.

Creek Wood can come away with a W if they play smash mouth football the whole time instead of run mouth the the first half as they did against MC.Some of the guys seem to believe their own publicity.When they play as a team and stay focused they are a very good team.The defense and offense played outstanding in the 4th quarter against a much faster team.Get rested,get healed and get ready Red Hawks.Take it to Montgomery Central.

Marshall Co. was the better team.some people would say that WV was getting what it asked for by whining about the umpires at EVERY game.The umps cost them every run scored against the team according to the coaches.Had Creek Wood not had a mental breakdown in the bottom of the 7th with one out I guess the umpires would have cost them that game to at 5-1.I'm sure it had nothing to do with the fact that CW out hit WV 14-7. MC goes out and plays hard every play of every inning and they deserve the crown!!!!!!!!

Congratulations to Marshall Co.Creek Wood was hoping for another matchup but after our fall apart in the bottom of the 7th it just was not meant to be.All the CW girls were cheering for ya.
