Greenbrier - Westmoreland

Got there at the end, somebody said it was 1-1 with the # 1's. Heard Greenbrier moved the ball with more consistency, but that Austin Freeman scored on a 75 yard scamper for WHS to tie the contest before both sides began to sub. Looked like Greenbrier had a substantial size advantage, but Westmoreland may have had a speed advantage. Why did Westmoreland's quartaback only play 1 series?

With varsity playing it was Greenbrier scoring 3 to 1

Greenbrier scores first and seemed be picking up momentum. Game stopped for a 20 minute lightening break. Game starts again and Westmoreland scores on long QB run on second play and Westmoreland picks up the momentum. Teams played with one score each for a while in more of a defensive battle. Greenbrier picked it back up toward the end and scores 2 times.

 

I think Westmoreland played well and probably out-played Greenbrier more than they should have. Westmoreland will surprise some people this year. Greenbrier has a lot of new guys trying to get some reps and find the right mix but there's still a way to go.

After the way he played last night, I sure hope mr. "magic touch" works more on his touch and less on his posts. He looked awful last night! He sure does talk alot for somebody who ain't that good.
