In the late 90's Cannon County had a short, about 5'4", African American kid that could move pretty good. The team was terrible, but that kid stood out. Anybody remember the kid's name or what happened to him. Also, always heard the rumor that Patrick Turner grew up in Cannon County and went to school their during elementry and middle school. Any truth to this?

Cannon County will need to be vastly improved from last year to make the playoffs. However, good luck. A win against Jackson County and Upperman will do the trick!

How did the tourney come out? How did Smith County look?

Isn't Lebanon hosting a passing tourney this friday? Who's in it and what time does it begin? Admission?

Who else has White House scrimmaged and how did they come out?

It should be a two horse race in district 8a. For the first time in years, a team in this district will challenge Friendship for the district crown. That team will be the Yellow Jackets. None of the other teams in this district have the horses to compete with these state tourney teams from a year ago. Look for both these teams to be in the Boro' when all is said and done.

3&out, yeah the screen name says it all. Huh? Typical, when you don't have an intellegent argument you start calling names. Yeah, I called Antwan naive, he is, that's not name calling. "Loser"? Next it'll be "Stupidhead". All of this from, "I think Lipscomb will beat Livingston". Portland and Carthage, not Smith County according to by Tiger brothers across the river, nuff' said.

Dear Naive:What we have here, is a failure to communicate.Yeah, I borrowed that from "Cool Hand Luke". I never said, in my initial post, that I had seen either team play. I made a prediction that Livingston would be beaten by Lipscomb. You, Anwan, said Livingston had played faster, stronger and just as well coached teams. Smith County hasn't played Lipscomb since 2000, the old region 4aa. Yeah, they have the same coach, but I'm guessing some of the players are different, even private schools don't redshirt over one year. Now you have admitted making an assessment of Lipscomb based on 4 pictures off of the CoachT website and seeing Lipscomb in previous years. In other words you made a statement as fact that is actually a guess. I gave an opinion. By the way, being specific, in which game was Coach MacAdams outcoached and in what way.

Dear Naive: How many Lipscomb games have you seen Antwan? Any film? I doubt it. Stronger? How strong is Lipscomb? How fast is Lipscomb? I haven't seen any times or weight charts. As well coached? How do you know? Coach MacAdams isn't going to be outcoached. I know your thinking, we beat Livingston, it'll make Smith County look good if Livingston wins. It won't happen. As the "Plas" says BOOK IT. Maybe it'll bring Livingston luck. They'll need it. Sincerely, Not a Lipscomb Fan

Let me begin by seying, "I hope I'm wrong." I don't see Livingston being able to beat Lipscmb. Lipscomb will have good size, good speed and good coaching. Not saying Livingston is not a great team, you have to be to make it to the championship game. I just don't believe you've seen the combination of all these factors these year. My prediction: Lipscomb 24 Livingston 12. I threw in some spelling and gramatical errers for Bumsquad.
