JPII vs. Knox Webb 9-1-05

JPII and Webb both come in off two big wins for each school. The two teams split 1-1 last year but JPII got rocked by Webb 42-21 in the first round of the playoffs. Just wondering people's thoughts from JPII and Webb.

I agree, a great game that will come down to the wire and the team who makes the least mistakes.

Who is Webb returning?

Webb returned 8 offensive starters and 7 defensive starters. plus there kicker.

key returners are #6 RB/DB , #62 OL/DL, #88 TE/DE, #1 RB/LB lwas the saftey last year, #32 who is the fullback played LB last year not this year. Some players on the team changed positions but still started last year.

The Championship will come down to JPII and ECS with Knox Webb being close to those two. This will be a good game though but expect JPII do what JPII does and let Golden be golden. JPII is so much more expierienced this year than they were last yr that they will be very hard to beat. My biggest worry, which could be the biggest good ,is JPII down playing this game after the GIANT game against Father Ryan, of course they could feed off that game and hand out another 49-21 loss, but i doubt that big of a margin of victory. JPII is good and shouldn't be underestimated. They are State title contenders with that one intangible no one else has, Golden Tate, the biggest playmaker in the state. Remember Golden isn't JPII though, too many players with the ability to make good plays but Golden's pressence only enhances that factor. This should be a good game, watch out Spartans.

dont worry webb knows PJP has a very good team with an incredible player in Golden..they will game plan for him. they also know that they have other good players in # 33 and #16. It will be an interesting game to see how it shapes out.

 

Webb has faced talented players before and shut them down...ex Cody watts and Lee smith this year.

 

Golden is probably better then them but not by much so webb has faced it share of talent and has also played against golden twice.

all i can say is good lucka against Golden, he's guy that u can't believe until u actually see him and he's better than last yr by a lot from what i can see good luck.
