Who cares about claiborne

I care about Claiborne! AND, you should too!

 

Jared Liles is a fine player. I haven't heard anything about his injury, but I will try to find out tomorrow and let everybody know what's going on.

 

OK now Gapfan06, I think you owe an apology!

 

A real football fan never wants to see any player from any team badly injured.

 

The only way to claim to be any better than anybody else, is to beat them when they are at the top of their game. And even then, you never ridicule another athlete.

 

It's called SPORTSMANSHIP!

I wasn't talking trash about the QB from Claiborne, I was just wondering if was hurt really bad. Didnt know how bad the injury was.

 

I know that your question wasn't trash talk.

 

I called the Claiborne field house, but haven't gotten an update yet. I left a messge for Coach Liles to call me when he can.

 

Does anyone else know any more yet?

I hate to be rude but if anyone would have read my reply I had an answer. The quaterback tore his mcl and is out. It is a partial tear and he will be out this week and he doesn't have to have surgery.

 

We read the first post pinky! Thank you for that information, but you left us waiting for the results of the MRI!

 

When you say "out this week", do you mean out of the line up for only 1 game, or that he has been in the hospital since last Friday?

      One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.

      If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.

      I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
