Rick Stockstill has been named the new head football coach at MTSU. Stockstill comes from South Carolina, where he served as the Recruiting Coordinator this past year. He has a pretty good track record having served under the likes of Lou Holtz, Bobby Bowden, Terry Bowden, and Steve Spurrier. He is slated as one of the top 25 recruiters in the nation and has had 16 NFL draft picks in the last 6 years. I guess we'll have to wait and see how he turns out. Hopefully he'll bring in some quality talent and win a couple conference championships.

I heard rumors that they had contacted the def. coordinator from Notre Dame as well as the Miami Dolphins def. coor. who followed Nick Saben from LSU to Miami. MTSU's new AD came from South Carolina and is real good friends with Stockstill, so put 2 and 2 together. I see it as doing him a favor, this is his first head coaching position.

      It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.

      Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.

      Now that wouldn’t surprise me a bit. That has been going on heavily since the days of Larry Kerr @ AC. One of the major reasons CC has never really had much at all, barring about 2 seasons in football. AC milks it dry.

      Interesting how quite it is. Rumors are going around that Anderson County is being looked at by TSSAA for recruiting violations with the Campbell County transfers.
