Head Coach at Cocke County

Who is the baseball coach there now and who was there last. Where did the other guy go? What was the reason? Any info. will help. Thank you.

Cocke County is currently without a baseball coach. Coach Darnell was not hired back for the 2006-2007 school year. I am not sure the reason why, just heard rumors. Their previous coach before him, Casey Taylor, is coaching at his alma mater Clinton. He took the job there last year after his father Alvin retired.

What were some of the rumors about coach darnell? I went to college with him. I'd just like to know. What was the problem? Was it baseball or school related or something else?

I don't want to get rumors started, since I don't have any ties with the program anymore. My son has friends that play on the team, and all I know is what they have told us. All I can say is that the school board did not hire him back for his teaching position. Maybe someone from CCHS can give you more info.

Ok thanks. I wish I knew what the problem was. Lance is a good guy, but sometimes he loses track of his priorities. He'll be ok though.
