Page took the early lead in the 1st qtr, 9-4, as Morton had 6, Crowell had 2, and Campbell hit 1 of 2 FT's while Centennial's Kelly and Fisher each hit 2 of 2 FT's. In the 2nd qtr, Page outscored Centennial, 14-9, as Morton had 6 more, Ford hit a three and hit 2 FT's, Campbell had 2, and Underwood hit 1 of 2 FT's while Centennial's Fisher had 4, Yarbrough had 3 with 1 of 2 FT's, and Kelly had 2 as Page led at the half, 23-13. In the 3rd qtr, Centennial outscored Page, 9-7, as Yarbrough had 5 with a three, Fisher had 2 with 0 of 1 FT's, and Kelly had 2 with 0 of 2 FT's while Page's Bowling had 3 with 1 of 2 FT's, Campbell hit 2 FT's, and Ford had 2 as Page still led, 30-22 after 3 qtrs. In the 4th qtr, Centennial outscored Page, 13-9, as Yarbrough had 9 with a three and 4 of 4 FT's and both Kelly and Luna had 2 each while Page's Bowling had 4 with 2 FT's in the final seconds to put Page ahead by 2, Morton hit 2 of 3 FT's for Page's final points, Campbell had 2, and Crowell hit 1 of 2 FT's as Page held on for the win, 39-35.

It was a great win for the Lady Patriots as Morton took control in the 1st half scoring 12 of her 14 pts and the second half had balancing scoring. Down the stretch Page hit their FT's to secure the win. Turnovers hurt Centennial as Yarbrough had a great individual effort in the 2nd half.

Pageman, as we discussed after the last game between CHS & PHS. the travelling calls were noticably different in the 2 games. You felt they were excessive at Centennial and I thought they were accurate.

Conversely, they were basically non existent in the rematch at Page. I counted about 8 potential violations on Page in the 1st half with only one called. Anna Morton still takes that shift step before she puts the ball on the floor. In the second half, I lost count but only 1 travelling call was made. I think #11 carries the ball virtually everytime she brings it up court. ( her hand is completely under the ball when she dribbles, particularly with her left. ) With no call made, obviously, it doesn't matter.

This does however demonstrate the difference between the 2 officials associations.

Centennial has improved and hopefully, will continue to get better with the goal of upsetting some teams later in the season and during the district tournament.

Also, Thanks for your acknowledgement of Rebecca's efforts.

Merry Christmas to you and all the CoachT family.
