Yea.....I'm definitely ready to start free-style already. I only got to wrestle a couple of matches last year and am basicly illiterate to the rules, but have seen what it has done for other wrestlers around me and am ready to take my wrestling to the next level of competition. So any coaches in East Tenn. that are planning on starting up free-style practice please get in touch with me. Or any style of wrestling for that matter, I just want to be on the mat.

QUOTE(Wrestler1231 @ Feb 21 2007 - 10:23 PM) 826383654[/snapback]So do freestyle teams go by each school like folkstyle or can kids go to another school if they wanted to wrestle for them?

Example , if im going to Bolton and was wrestling freestyle could i wrestle freestyle for Cordova?

yes. tssaa has no affiliation with any wrestling going on right now regarding freestyle/greco so you can wrestle where ever you want to

TWF actually has a rule in their books that prohibits teams/clubs from being school names. We like that teams are open to all and available to anyone wanting to wrestle freestyle/greco. In the Memphis area their are 3 or four main clubs, Mid South, West Tennessee Takedown, Tipton County and Panthers. I can get you in touch with any of those. Send me an email over the coacht system and I will get in contact with you.

    • I have no issues with the Karns Middle School program.   Good coaches and he's with the kids he goes to school with.  He's a rising 6th grader who had to play with 6th grade kids last year because Karns didn't have enough kids for a 5th grade age team.  He's in a good place at this point.   My daughter is a single mom with 4 kids under 11 years old.  We help her out with logistics, so staying in our own area right now is important.  Once he gets to high school age, who knows what happens?  That bridge will be crossed when we get there.
    • I know he was a backup but I thought he filled in well when the starter went down. Never a bad thing to have a change of pace back
    • That would be a good get for them. Lowe always finds a way. Pretty sure they have their Rb from last year returning but not that line of beef
    • One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.
    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
