QUOTE(dirtyd2 @ Apr 22 2007 - 10:22 PM) 826443149Seymour (#4 in AA) vs. Gibbs (#5 in AA). Both are undefeated in district play and very similar overall records. These games will decide who gets home field advantage throughout district tournament. So who takes these games Monday and Tues. ?

I have seen both teams play. This should be a close ball game like always. Both teams have good pitching but I believe it will eventually come down to who will hit the ball in the right situations. Just wish I could be their to watch..

Good Luck to both teams...

QUOTE(seymourbsbll19 @ Apr 23 2007 - 10:31 AM) 826443386This series is always a good one. I think Seymour is a little too strong for Gibbs tho....I think they just have more depth at the plate and in the pen. Itll be a good one.

This will be two great games between these two teams. I am going to say that each of them takes one game and not much gets decided.

What a game tonight!! Seymour broke a 5-5 tie in the top of the 7th inning and led 6-5 going into the bottom of the 7th. Seymour's pitcher loaded up the bases and walked in a run to tie it up 6-6. Drew Housewright hit a fly ball to left field and Michael Rowe tagged up from third base and beat the throw home. GIBBS WINS 7-6!!!!!!! One heck of a game!!!

GO GIBBS EAGLES!!!!!!!

QUOTE(baseballss07 @ Apr 24 2007 - 07:56 PM) 826444467Another great game tonight between two district rivals. Another win in walk off fashion. Two great games.

well the hornets took the win last nite against gibbs and i think if gibbs ends up playing seymour then it will be a close game becuz gibbs has a really strong team.housewright is tough but the seniors on seymours team are tougher...guess we will see what happens.the hornets are going to take care of gibbs tonite so if we end up playing seymour then we will have to be ready to play.

    • It was not ACHS at all, they have zero reason to worry about Clinton.  It had to do with a kid (non football player)  that had a charge and appeared in front of the juvenile judge.  The judge saw that the kid was way behind credit wise for his grade and told him to reappear in a month with a plan to graduate.  When the kid reappeared he had more that twice the credits than one month before.  The judge called BS and contacted the school.  That is what started the investigation.  This involves multiple students, but to this point no athletes are involved.
    • I believe the Covington Chargers travel to Trenton Peabody for a scrimmage today? Anyone going to this? Curious how the Chargers will do.
    • Good ole Bradley Zulliger. He was a really good QB @ OR. Fun to watch.  Wore #15 and was like a mini Tebow, with the exception of being right handed. He could take a pounding and keep on ticking. Played with a collapsed lung against Powell that year. Tough as nails.
    • They should be pretty good in year two for Rang.  Replacing most of the offensive production losing Dozier, Hayward and Rembert , but they're are skill kids in place ready for their shot.  I know I say this every year, but the o line should show improvement after two years in Rang and Kevin Day's weight program.  I still would favor West over Plow and OR come November.  The Rebs will have to grow up a bunch between now and then, and will probably take some lumps along the way with that schedule.  But I predict come playoff time they will be ready.   One of their coaches half joked to me that they could go 5-5 regular season and win the state championship.  Ha ha.
