Division II-A playoff scenarios

St. George's is the #1 seed and will host a playoff semi-final on November 16th.

SBEC is the #2 seed and will host a playoff semi-final on November 16th.

Both will receive byes the week of November 9th for sure and nothing that happens this upcoming Friday will affect that.

4 other teams have a shot at playing some more.

If all the favorites win this upcoming Friday (Nov 2nd), then #5 FACS would play at #4 Harding on November 9th with everyone else on a bye. The winner would travel to St. George's on November 16th while Davidson would travel to SBEC on Nov. 16th as well.

Davidson Academy is almost assuredly in. They'll beat a winless and injury-depleted Tipton Rosemark this upcoming Friday to finish 4-3 in the division and 5-5 overall and have the likely #3 seed and come to SBEC on November 16th. They beat Harding, 25-22 in a thriller, who'll they'll likely tie with at 4-3 and have the head to head tiebreaker. If Davidson somehow miraculously loses to TRA, they'd almost surely miss the playoffs...but that's not going to happen.

Harding Academy will likely beat a game Rossville Christian squad that has only 1 win in the region to get the likely #4 seed.

Bishop Byrne is currently part of the 4-way tie for 3rd place at 3-3 (along with DA, Harding, and FACS) in the region but must face undefeated St. George's this upcoming Friday. They're already 4-5 overall so a loss to a superior St. George's team bumps them to 4-6 and 3-4 in region and out of the playoffs altogether since they'd be out of the top 4 and have a losing record overall. They have to win or have a very unlikely loss from 2 teams out of Davidson, Harding, and SBEC...haven't figured all the permutations but even the other teams losing might not work out just right. They almost have to win.

FACS is 6-3 overall and 3-3 in region and seems to have a playoff spot locked up due to their overall winning record. They're seemingly the most likely underdog to get a win this Friday against SBEC and FACS is coming off an upset victory at Davidson this past week. If FACS were to beat SBEC this Friday, they could vault into the #3 seed in the region as they would win the tiebreaker over Harding and DA in a 3-way tie assuming both Harding and DA win on Friday. All 3 would be 4-3 in region and have 1-1 records against each other. The second tiebreaker of total season overall wins would favor FACS as they would have 7 wins at that point. In that scenario, FACS would be #3 and face SBEC on November 16th in the semi-finals. Harding would be the #5 seed traveling to #4 Davidson on November 9th while everyone else gets a bye.
