Manassas @ Bruceton

Manassas has been just about everybodies homecoming opponent. You schedule your homecoming opponent because you believe that is going to be a victory. Manassas has spoiled many a homecoming this year. There is something special about this team. For at least 4 straight weeks Manassas has put 40 points on the scoreboard. Here is an interesting tib bit. Manassas leads the city of Memphis in total offense going into the final regular season game. They have become a complete team. They can run, They can pass. And man are they fast. They are discpline, they have charachter and they play with a lot of heart. This has the making of one heck of a 1st round playoff game.

 

 

 

They do have a nice looking 7 - 3 record but 7 things disturb me about the viablilty of Manassas:

1. Rossville Christian 3 -7

2. Tipton Rosemark 0 - 10

3. Halls 2 - 8

4. Memphis Northside 0 -10

5. Middleton 0 - 10

6. Frayser 1 -9

7. Treadwell 0 - 10

Teams they have beaten with a combined record of 6 -64.

 

I'm still stickin' with the Carroll County Tigers.

Error ridden game by both sides, but the Tigers held on for the win.

If you weren't there you miss a gem of a ball game. For a defensive minded person you did not enjoy it, but from an offensive point of view one of the most exiting 1st round game in the playoffs. Hats off to both team. Manassas brought its A game but Bruceton brought its A+ game. Forty to Forty-four you couldn't have ask for a more exciting game from both teams. Manassas great season. Bruceton good luck in the second round.
