I know a few, but they're just from memory, so it's all random.

103- Soboun took 1st, Lowe of MLK beat Ramirez of McGavock for 3rd

huge gap. Didnt pay much attention.

135 1st place Steiner over Oscitille, 3rd, Lett over Jones MLK. All 4 go to state.

140 1st place Garrett EL over Hunters Lane, 3rd place Colbert McGavock

145 1st place Sewar of Antioch. cant remember who he beat. Mintlow took 3rd. Kyle Chandler got hurt and withdrew from the tournament. Ankle or leg injury. He left for the hospitle, but I saww him during the finals on crutches and a nifty little wristband from the ER.

152 No clue on the final. I thnk East Lit was in it. Burnley MLK beat Tresner ANT for 3rd

160 1st place Gambil EL over Garcia McGavock

171 1st Gentuso DCA over East Lit. I think HF took 3rd. There were only 4 in the entire bracket.

189 East Lit over Smith Hunters Lane

215 1st Pegram Glencliff over East, 3rd was Rhodes Ant. 4th Hume Fogg??

285 1st Hunters Lane

this is all from memory, but I'm pretty sure what I put is accurate. Anybody feel free to fill in the gaps.

For the final results of the Region 7 tournament click this link- Region 7 Results. Thank you to all of those who helped this tournament run smoothly. A special thanks to Scott Davis for managing the tournament for Mat Control. For those who are interested, you can also see the final results for Region 6 and 9 at Mat Control. Go to MAT CONTROL to find the link.

It was a busy weekend for us managing 3 region tournaments and the Nashville Middle School City tournament. I have great people who help me out running these tournaments when I cannot be there. I was at a Youth Convention in Nashville with my Youth Group from church with 2000 other middle and high school youth. Good luck to all who are competing at the state tournament!

Brad, your website has Jones (MLK) 3rd at 135. Lett (ELM) won that match. Looking at the State brackets, it appears that they have Lett as the 4th place finisher instead of Jones.

I fixed that error and contacted them but it doesn't appear they have made the change, I am going to try to contact them again.

    • Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
    • What does everyone have in the final 8? In no particular order. 1. Eagleville 2. Gordonsville 3. Greenback 4. Oakdale 5. South Pitt/ East Robertson-- not sure 6. Richland 7. Halls 8. Union City
    • They struggled to field a team last year. I don’t see them being much better?
    • sx good two know thay didun't waint that entarr citty two see yeller/red......
    • Couldn’t agree more.. Tate is a special kinda player , but fortunately for us we get a best of 3 series. I think our pitching is better than last year when we made the trip to west tn. Should be a fun 2 or 3 games.
