What is everyone's opion on how these team's rank

 

I think the Huskie's will be the team to beat in the District. With the returning starters from last year including the all State pitcher from a year ago. I have also heard they have an outstanding Freshman this year coming in so i can't wait to see this team in action.

I think Unaka has to be the the favorite going into this year. They are a completely different team from last year. They are loaded with offensive talent. There should be at least three lefties at the top of the line-up who can all fly and the rest of the line up can hit with power. You won't run into a weak hitter in that line-up all the way down. They're sound defensively, the only question will be their pitching. A talented freshmen will be the anchor and if she can step up, I believe she takes them to Murfreesboro. Good luck to all.

My vote is for Unaka as well, and we are thinking about the freshman She is definately a player. I would love to see Unaka and Unicoi both back in Murfeesboro for the first time in a couple of years.

Hampton's looking better than they have in awhile this year. Now i'm not saying they're going to be the team to beat, because I'm sure they aren't close to most of these other teams, but with a talented new group of freshmen, they have the potential to be pretty good in a couple years. Good luck!

The Huskies of NG have started the Conferance play 2 & 0 out the gate beating UH 7-4 and Unaka 9-4. This group of young players are looking pretty good to statr the season, keep up the good work girl's.

What happened at N. Greene yesterday. My beloved Lady Rangers took it on the chin it looks like. No disrespect intended to the Lady Huskies, I know there's a lot of talent coming back from last year on that team, but I thought with Unaka's offense this year, they would own the conference. A lot of freshmen on Unaka this year. Maybe this season will be the learning curve for them after all.

Well don't hold your head down just yet, the season in still young but i must say the lady Huskies are pretty good. The team is loaded with juniors and 1 of them being an all state pitcher from last year plus an outstanding freshman witha good bat and a great glove. There is a lot of ball to play yet but i think NG will be a SUB STATE contender.

      They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.

      The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.

      I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.

      All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
