4th Annual "Southern Showcase of Prospects" Chattanooga June

Over the past 3 summers the "Southern Showcase of Prospects" has attracted over 90 players each year, and last year had over 30 College Coaches in attendance.

 

The 4th Annual "Showcase of Prospects" is shaping up to be our biggest and best event yet. The Showcase is being held Tuesday, June 10th, at Frost Stadium and the newly renovated Warner Park. Check-In begins at 10 AM, with a start time of 11 AM.

 

Although we welcome entire teams to attend our showcase, this is an opportunity for individual players to show college coaches what you can do.

 

Each player will participate in individual testing, where times will be recorded and posted (on site and on our website)for college coaches to see.

 

You'll be tested on:

1) 20-yard dash

2) Home to First time

3) Home to Home time

4) Overhand Throw Velocity

5) Vertical Leap

6) Pitching Velocity (all pitches)

7) Pop to Pop times (for Catchers Only)

 

Coaches will see you perform in these stations:

1) Batting Practice

2) Infield Defense

3) Outfield Defense

4) Pitching Workout

 

 

Each College Coach will recieve a Prospect Guide with a full page profile for each player and a second page for coaches to make notes. Each player wears a Showcase T-shirt with a number that corresponds to your page in the Prospect Guide.

Space is limited, so please visit our site and register as soon as possible. Groups of 5 or more do receive a reduced entry fee.

We have received over 40 registrations so far for the showcase. We have a strong group so far with

players from Knoxville, Nashville, NW Georgia, Alabama, and Chattanooga.

Received confirmations from Tennessee Tech University and University of Tennessee Chattanooga that they will have

coaches at the Southern Showcase. I'll keep updating the topic as we receive more commitments.

Middle Tennessee State University has also confirmed that they will be attending the showcase.

The "Southern Showcase of Prospects" is not a Travel Team event. It is an Individual Showcase opportunity where players are not distinguished by any high school or travel uniform. Everyone is provided with the official "Southern Showcase" T-shirt and are only distinguished by their graduation year.

 

We do offer a discount to teams entering five or more players, but we have had quite a few high school teams take advantage of this opportunity over the years.

 

We will actually have some of the top high school coaches in our area on staff at the event.

 

I understand your concern, but this is an opportunity for ANY player, with aspirations to play at the next level, to show off their skills to College Coaches.
