TRA vs Bishop Byrne

What does everyone think about Friday nights matchup of these 2 teams? Both of these programs are seem to be struggling to find their way. These are the two teams that met for the div II state title just a few years ago and now both seem to having problems getting back on the winning track.

I coach at the division 2 level and we played and beat Bishop Byrne. They have three good players. The QB, RB and TE. If Rosmark can stop freeman they will have a chance. I have always liked the rebels and pull for them when they play.

I'm a little surprised that Byrne hasn't been able to replenish on the lines. The quality has really dropped off there. I suspect BB still has enough to beat TRA but you never know for sure how it's going to play out. That's a game bunch at TRA and if they could score early and put the Red Knights on their heels a little? TRA really kept plugging against SBEC's second team in the 2nd half of that game showing they just will not quit regardless of the score. I love that about that squad. I'd guess Bishop Byrne will win by a couple of TDs with Antwon Freeman making some big plays. Good luck and good health to both in what is a critical game for staying alive in the playoff hunt.

Any game NOT against FACS, Davidson, or Harding is a critical game this year for everybody. Those look like the playoff mortal locks at this point.

USJ would really be right in the thick of it were they playing DII-A this year. They seem to be having a great year so far.

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
