No question... Kerry Workman! He has signed with Columbia State. I'm probably biased also.

Back up now..."No Question"? I know last year C'ville roped Workman at CA... I'd say its alot closer than that but between Workman, Bassham, and Parsons... Parsons had the best showing at the tournament last year without a doubt. So We shall see...

it'll be hard to "put the knee behind you" because chances are he still wont be up to tip top shape with it by then.

Your right... Parsons has good stuff also. Richland has pretty good pitching behind Parsons with Malone and Sands also.

i know my friend. bryce davidson, tore his ACL in football in like week 2 of his jr year. had to sit out several games of soccer, and wasnt aloud to participate in spring football practice. he seemed fine, he could walk pretty good, run good. but if he played he was at a risk of tearing it again. i know football and soccer is more of a contact sport, and more at a risk than baseball, but theres still that chance. and a ACL injury is not a sprung ankle, it takes a lot of time to heal fully.

oh and word is clark ayers didnt give up a run in his 3 innings saturday.

Kerry gave up 3 runs.

and doug taylor gave up 1 run.

    • One final thought. Coach Keith claims he was not aware of the player's failing grades. I won't comment on that, just to say this, IF he did not, whose job was it to see that this kid did not play ball at CHS? That person should be looking for a job and they might be, I don't know.
    • They have fired the principal, 2 teachers, at least 1 counsellor and 1 coach so far. I don't see it from my view in Oak Ridge as a coach thing, he  was just implicated in asking 1 teacher to  fix 1 kid's grades.   In our local media(Clinton and Oak Ridge)the principal is who is the originator and pusher of the fraud. The others are peripheral. The coach isn't even the big story, just here on a sports site.  The media view is the principal did it to cause CHS to be seen as excellent by the state. He committed fraud to do that so he might spend a little time in jail IF that is valid.
    • And from coach himself, he wasn’t told he was let go because of the ineligible player.    that’s just what the schools needed to happen to fit their bull
    • Wish it was made clear before a coach gets let go or not retained instead of being sold as the reason he was in trouble. I was told the kids who got grades changed, 97% or better were non athletes but the coach is taking all the heat so the schools can pretend it wasn’t their job to know. heck, what do you think could happen when you hire husband and wife as head principal and head guidance….   that’s not being said though…
    • Hmmmmm……doe dee doe doe.  Last time I came up there to watch my pirates one of those guys in that pickup trucks flattened the tires on the lawnmower.  This is payback.  You can bet the lawnmower on that.
