District 8AA

Greenbrier will certainly finish better than last in the District. I expect them to split some games with Goodpasture and White House and improve to 7-3 in district play, and possibly finish in the top 3. Young talent is right, but we have some very strong Seniors on the 09 team. Next couple of years look pretty good for the bobcats as well. Let's play ball !!

 

 

 

I don't think this greenbrier team is going to compete at all. They lost the best outfielder in the disctrict last year, Derek Moore, along with 6 other starting seniors. The seniors were the only ones who contributed to that team. If you go back and look at stats, seniors lead all categories. 09 sr Tyler Anderson & so Cody Ledbetter are the only returning players with decent talent. I believe greenbrier will struggle to compete the next couple of years.

white house and portland square off early in district play this year. white house looks solid as always they are led by aussie light. does anybody know what this matchup might implicate?

goodpasture will win the district yet again. with the talent that they have plus maybe the best coaching staff in the state, i dont believe anyone in this district will be able to beat them. there may be a fluke or two during the season, but they've shown when the dis tourney comes around they bring it! the district is down this year (even goodpasture), but i still dont think white house, dca, greenbrier, portland, or station camp will be able overcome the cougars. dont get me wrong, i am not a fan of goodpasture, but i have to show respect (especially to the back-to-back defending state champs).

great points there. i have to say they are the favorites until someone knocks them off in the tournament. they are probably the best tournament team in the state.
