Congratulations to DeAndre Allen for being choose player of the year for Monroe County Bseball. A kid who some thought was not good enough to make the local dixe youth all stars to a young man who has made all county as a freshman and sophore and player of the year as a sophmore. Keep up the good work and wish you the best this summer with Chattanooga Cyclones.Way to go DeAndre I am very proud of you.

DeAndre Allen has certainly made great accomplishments his first two years of high school. He is a great young man and a great baseball player who began showing it at a young age in Dixie Youth. Sequoyah is lucky to have him. I think he is very deserving of the Player of the Year award. Congratulations D !!! A lot of people are proud of you!

Deandre will be released to throw at 100% Saturday May 30. Hope his arm holds up and all is well. He continues to show his ability at the plate for Chattanooga Cyclones and can't wait for him to show coach Koontz is ability on defense and as a pitcher. All 3 of the Monroe county guys on the cyclones team are doing very well, they are being ask to lay down the bunt quit often and all have been successful in doing so. These guys have had some very good coaching and have very good baseball skills offensively and defensively. Good luck to all of them during their summer season. They are playing mostly in 18 and under tournaments and holding their own very well against some very good pitching and hitting teams.
