this should be a better match up for gibbs than last week with fulton. the talent should be about equal in most areas. the one thing i can't understand is like at ut if you have a quarterback that is not having a good game why not try someone else? in the gp game you had the third quarterback come in and drive down the field and score with only seconds left to tie the game where was that kid at last week againist fulton why not try him again? i don't know if it's a senior thing or what but football in tennessee even ut i have to question the coach on leaving that suppose to be leader in the game.

The winner of the Carter-Gibbs game will probably be in the playoffs. Gibbs will beat Union County by a large margin. UC is struggling big time. Gibbs will lose to Austin-East. The Carter game is really big for Gibbs. Carter is not as strong as in the past. They do have a good running back but offensive line is questionable at times. Their defense is weak in the secondary. Gibbs should beat them tonight.

Gibbs has not had a tough schedule. They have become much improved with this coaching staff but have not had to play a good team except Fulton and maybe Gatlinburg Pittman.

    • Yeah, we came up short. I remember we threw a ball over the middle to #5 Guymon? and he came up short of the sticks. Gave em he&& for a bit though.
    • Doe dee doe doe…..hmmmmmmm one of those players can run faster than my lawnmower when I put it in 5th gear turbo.  You can bet the lawnmower on that.
    • Yeah I am on board and plan on coming down from the Ridge for some home games, great Friday night atmosphere there.  I'm really hoping SC can get them back going and have some success for those fans and community.
    • Yep I was field level on the scoreboard end throwing ball with Benny when we had that brief lead. Everybody got very excited but it was short lived as Murvil regrouped and went into machine mode. But yeah,  that hit sounded like the crack of a black powder rifle being fire.  I believe Dozier took one like that as a Soph up at Greeneville after on olay block.
    • Ole Benny boy lol. I forgot about Harder. He was tough as crap. He graduated in ‘09. I went to the OR/Maryville game that year (great game, btw) and he collided with Jacob West (I think was his name) and you could hear it clearly at the top of the visitor bleachers. Man, it was a stick. He could lay some wood son. All those guys were tough, Elliott included.
