to all please tell me if you would like to have a QB that in 3 years took you to (2 ) play off appearances and a state championship game with a substandard team the last two years ?

And do you like his 3 years offensive stats

Between HBSFAN (AKA Nick Smiths dad for the record he was yanked after game # 4 at the half after his 1 td- 6 int season totals) and Gary bettrain why do you all keep knocking ALEX HECKMAN ,and the fact that he didnt throw any TD this year? When we all know the coaches called the plays and he averaged only 11 pass attempts per game...

 

lots of the uncertainty with Independence centered around whether they could successfully transition from a team that made its bones in its young existence as a team that would stretch the field in its passing game to a run-based wing-t, With a lot of teams that sport a run-based Wing-T, many of the quarterbacks have a limited ability to make plays in the passing game, but such is not the case with Independence and their Senior Quarterback, Alex Heckman.

 

Alex Heckman is a 3 year starter at Quarterback for Independence, and led the Eagles to a State Runner-Up finish at 2007. He is also the all-time leader in passing yards with over 3,400 yards in the 2007 and 2008 seasons. So the Eagles present a rare dual threat running out of the Wing-T with an accomplished passer like Heckman, so obviously he was a capable leader of the offense.
