112 looked like a competitive weight class.

Kermit finishes less than 1st two weeks in a row.

Badon seems to make some noise as he rolls in to town. Looks like the District of Bartlett, Bolton, and Cordova, with Arlington will set the tone for Region "8" this year.

Being new to this area, how important are the finishes here? Is this a real indication of the season?

In Wisconsin, no one really talked about pre-season tournaments.

Is it a big deal about "Kermit", whoever that is or anyone else?

It isn't really a big deal at all. Several of these kids just recently came out from football, some others aren't at the weight class they'll participate in during the season, the matches were only half as long, etc. Not to take anything away from the winners, but no definitive information can be drawn from these results.

 

With that said, I'm excited to get the season rolling.
