CHATTANOOGA WRESTLING CLUB SPRING TRAINING

Hello, I hope everyone is ready for the upcoming state tournament! I am excited to see the fierce competition that this weekend will provide. After a few weeks, we will be starting the spring session of the Chattanooga Wrestling Club. The concept behind this club is to offer a neutral training site for the kids in the greater Chattanooga/North Georgia/North Alabama area. We have a number of very talented wrestlers, of all ages, in the area who would benefit by training with each other year round. Our fall semester had over 70 kids, including wrestlers of all ages from Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama, many of them participating in this weekend's state tournament. We have already started to get plans together for spring travel team trips to the Dixie Duals in Birmingham, AL and the NHSCA Nationals in Virginia Beach, VA, as well as, a variety of local tournaments. This is an excellent opportunity for all wrestlers of all age groups! Please go to our website, www.utckidswrestling.com for all current information. The first practice will be Tuesday, March 2nd at 6:00 p.m. at the UTC wrestling room in McKenzie Arena.

 

We are very excited about the opportunity to work with so many kids from the area. We feel this club will be a huge benefit for the development of wrestling in this area. For anyone who does not know of Coach Hatcher I can testify that he runs a GREAT practice. His Instruction is at the Highest level of wrestling. This Club is a Great way to level the field for kids who don't have several experienced coaches in the room like some of the schools do. I really think that a wrestler could improve more in the off season by attending these practices than anything else he could do. Great Post season clubs like this can narrow the gap between the kids from the great programs and the ones who havent gotten great yet. Joe Waddell

Just a reminder, practice starts tonight. We have gotten a very good response about this session from a lot of teams/kids from the Chattanooga, North Georgia, and North Alabama areas. We had over 70 kids in the fall and we anticipate at least that for this session. You now have the option to pay all of your fees on our website, www.utckidswrestling.com.
