Tennessee Smokies Showcase

Has anyone been to this showcase in the past and what are your opinions about it?

 

Is it worth it and what was the cost? Also, is it run by the smokies staff?

If you have/are an unsigned prospect this is far and away the best bang for the bucks showcase in the area. Very well run and highly scouted.

Not very much at all. Its half a day. About 45-50 college scouts, 5 or 6 pro scouts. Anytime your fielding/throwing/hitting your name and city is on the jumbo-tron.

Except for the extreme heat, the annual Smokies showcase turned out very well. It is very well run and the players are able to be evaluated doing multiple things. There was alot of recruiters and scouts there and I feel that they got a pretty good bang for the buck.

 

Does anyone know of any more showcases going on in the near future??

Andy Haines is a Florida Marlins Single A Manager(Greensboro Grasshoppers) and will host his annual showcase at Station Camp HS in earlier October. Very good camp that only costs $75. Exact date will be announced shortly..Last year he had 8 guys sign with colleges. He limits the camp to 40 players.

PSA 360 is holding a prospect showcase at Desoto Central Highschool in Southaven, Ms. Wed. July 28 cost is $85
