Lets see Meigs County won the regular season championship, but the General Mike Turner had his troops ready for the post season by running through the district and region, Coach Shamblin actually ended up district runner up, when he probably was the 3rd best team in that district. So the big question is what about this upcoming season????

My predictions -

Meigs County - Mason and the senior lefty will be a tough duo, but you got to hit to win and the big bats graduated so they will battle for the 2nd / 3rd place spot.

Walker Valley - One word "Turner." This man keeps pulling out the most his players have to offer. Pitching should still be strong even though they did lose the side-arm kid to TWC. With Murray and the rest of their 1,003,263 pitchers they keep producing over there. They should battle for the championship / 2nd place spots.

McMinn Central - If Turner has a "bigger" torn in his side I don't know who it could be. Central will be strong with the bats of Riden and Prosser. Pitching will come around and Shamblin's kids always know how to hit to win. The Chargers will be knocking on the door again. Look for them to struggle early - but be save the best for last. They should battle for the championship / 2nd place spot.

Sequoah - enough said - lost everyone - may not have enough to fill a team.

Polk County - You need more than a Couch to build a house will battle Sequoah to stay out of the cellar.

Sweetwater - now here is the interesting part to this district - how good can they be? They were supposed to be good last year - but we all know that didn't happen. I'm not sure if the Brock kid and their quarterback may not be able to put up the numbers they do on the grid iron. The Cats will either battle for 2nd / 3rd or will be a bust again.

Ondeck has spoken May not be right - May not be wrong - but the games have to be played - so we will find out before long.

In this district things should be very interesting - with no team having an outright bid for the district title.

Bradley Bears - Coach Geren is going to have a hard time this season with the loss of all the seniors from last years class, the Bears will depend heavily on Tyler Westmoreland and Kellen Pickel. The only upside to the season will be the pressure to win will not be the same as last year. The Bears will be young and unexperienced. It will be a long hard road for the Bears at the first of the season but things should get better as the season progesses.

Bears will battle for the 4th or 5th spot. Which is very respectable for the age of this team.

Cleveland - Gone are the big guns and the big sticks. Westfield, Carver, and Barber will have to put on a show for the blue raiders to have a repeat of last years sucess.

Cleveland will be battling for the 2nd / 3rd spot in the district.

Cumberland County - These Jets aren't pretty but they know how to win. Look for the Jets to fly high at first but they may get detected on radar to early, and get shot down. Jets will end up around the 3rd or 4th spot.

McMinn County - Matt Ray is simply the best player in this district, should lead his fathers team to a district crown. With Ray and Breau up the middle the "D" will be solid. Pitching should be graded as a "B+" with Davis and Phelps. Catching and Offensive may be a problem area for the Cherokees. McMinn will battle for the 1st / 2nd spot.

Rhea County - Good young talent. Finished dead last a year ago. But that was last year. If the talent shows up, Coach Caldwell should have a fun year. Rhea should battle for the 2nd / 3rd place spots. If the talent no-shows its back to the basement for them.

Ondeck has spoken May not be right - May not be wrong - but the games have to be played - so we will find out before long.
