word coming out if Trapps mouth to kids yesterday, they are alot better than Hixson and that defense will have no problem stopping run game, says Quarterback and Tailback are overrated and that Red Bank is overrated, says offense will score at least 40 pts , Hixson team poorly coached and undisciplined. Take it for what its worth.

If Coach Trapp said this it was to keep the players confident and focused. They have to believe in themselves to play to their full potential. Especially after a tough first loss of the season to Smith Co. I've talked to some of the players personally and they were pretty bummed out about the game. They kept their heads held high, but just felt as if they were too wore out at the end. One player told me he just felt helpless watching their line take over the game towards the end. You have to pick a team up after a loss like that. DC is very capable of scoring points, and as long as they play smart this could be a good game. Hopefully they will stay focused.

DeKalb's best linebacker and second best running back out of the three or four they trade around is out for the game and Hixson's running back is out for this game too so both teams down one player. We'll see how it goes.

0-0 end of 1st quarter. DC's defense looking better this week. Unfortunately, Hixson's size on the line is giving the offense problems.

 

Just as I posted that DC scored on the first play of the 2nd quarter on a defensive TD.

 

DC 32 yard qb sneak for td called back on personal foul. DC ends up getting 16 yard TD pass. With around a minute left to go before half time it's 21-7 DeKalb.

 

DC intercepts a pass before half time, but it's called back because of pass interefence. The quarter came to an end making it 21-7 at halftime. DC starting to get their offense rolling. Coach Bernie has the D filling the gaps. Half time adjustments should go towards DC.

DC 45 yard field goal is good and DC goes up 24-7.

DeKalb won 30-14. It was ugly, but we got it done. More flags than I have ever seen and more referee's timeouts than I have ever seen. Just drug on and on. And a 12 minute black out during the first quarter when the lights went out slowed things down. Back at full strength next week for a district game that should be a win.

Gah i hope we never have to go back to Hixson, 4 dollars to park 6 dollars to get in the game 2 dollars for drinks, the black out in the first quarter, the refs had no idea what was going on and had to take a timeout after every play. Anyways good game Tigers, time to focus on next week and keep it going.
