Well if you were to look at the schedule from last year they played the same exact teams so far that they did last year. And the points allowed on them were terrible. And yes the beef of the schedule is coming up but i think CD will beat WG and SG but i think they will lose to greeneville thats pretty much a given :)

I didn't say that they would lose all their games they have left. I was just saying that the teams they have left are better offensive teams than the ones that they have played. Therefore, they may give up more points in those games than they have in the past few games. Thus, their defensive average points per game will go up.

While I agree that CD has a competitive team this year, they won't beat WG or SG. Just ain't happening.

You all said that about CD VS WG game last year and look what happened then everyone decided that CD beat WG they would have beat SG and it didnt work out that way so you cant really tell anything when the county schools play

Well looking at the standings right now it looks like CD is on top!! BOOM haha jk it will change when we play the devils still pretty cool to see us number 1 over them. it will be the only time we will see that lol.

I seen CD and Bud was talking about who we play. Listen we have played all those teams every year since 2005 or earyler. that's who we have played alot. didn't use to beat them. but now that we do I agree it's time to book a bigger team to come play us. but it's just what we have done for a while now. and we will see how our d stacks up after the greeneville game. when we go to the range for the Game of the year more than likey in the BRAC. and idk what will happen all i know is that if we can win both of those we get 2nd!! that's the goal. 2nd is first for us BRAC teams besides greeneville. But let the games play out and lets see what we are made of. now on to this weeks game

We had a good game last night. we started off REALLY slow. but we picked up and shut them down. I was worried about this game cause our D can't cover the pass all that well and Gap is a pass first team. they have a stud at qb he might be hurt but when he gets healthy and gets that cast off his arm he will go off. they have alot of young talent and will be near the top next year. But we stoped them when we needed it. Juice had a great game. Collins also had a great game showing off his wheels for a nice td run in the 3rd. like to see more of him getting out and running a bit. But all in all it was a great game, great night just amazing time at the black hole! next week we got the huskies!!

for anyone who didn't see the score

I thought this would be a tough game. Cumberland Gap has improved week to week and thought it would be a battle. Cumberland Gap is just one year away, even losing Jenkins will hurt.

If South Greene can beat Grainger this week, which I think they will and if West Greene can beat Claiborne this week, which I think they will, then second third and fourth will go to the county teams in the BRAC. With all of them duking it out in the last three weeks of the football season. What a great way to end the season.

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
