Trojanx
Was out last week. But here we are....This could be one of the biggest games of this Sr class' High School career. What will have to happen for the Trojans to pull out the win. What will the Defense have to do?? What will the Offense have to do? Besides the obvious, the team who wants it the most will win. We took a hard defeat last year fumbling at the 1 yrd line. This is Millingtons chance to avenge that loss!!! Go Trojans!!!
TNHSFOOTBALLFAN
Millington will have to protect the ball which means zero turnovers. They will need to have good kickoff/punt coverage. Make Arlington go the length of the field everytime. Arlington will have to continue to play disciplined football like they have all year. Protecting the ball is a must. There is a 70% chance of rain on thursday. If that flows into Friday night or is still wet that could make things interesting. Should be a great game either way. Could even come down to last years scenario. Good luck to both sides.
dou
This is a huge game for both Teams AIR VS RUN. I too believe turnovers or lack of will be the difference. This game is becoming a rivalry. Is weather a factor? Edited October 24, 2011 by dou
SJohnston
I think rain will help Millington's chances only if it is raining during the game. Arlington's D is much improved from last year. It will take zero turnovers from Millington and Arlington giving away a couple for Millington to take this one. If Arlington plays as well as they have the rest of the season, they likely take the title down. Should be a great one.
Trojanx
The turnovers for Millington has gotten better...I dont know if a wet field will slow Arlingtons pass game down or create more of a turnover factor for Millington. I think Arlington has a couple of decent backs...does anyone have any info on them or their run game?? Millington must put a complete game together Friday night. Coach Michaels has even commented on the radio about the Trojans not having a complete game yet. That means eliminating turnovers, good kickoff coverage, strong defensive play by the secondary. I think if we do those things decently, our offense can bull our way to the endzone and pull out a good win! There will be a lot of media coverage as this game has been mentioned in the Comm App several times. This will be the classic "Barn Burner". Go Trojans!!!!!! The rain factor I mentioned was only if it is raining during the game, as a slick wet ball is harder to catch than it is to take a handoff. But the weather looks to be dry during the game now, so I think weather will be a non-issue. Millington has got to turn Arlington over to win. dou
Should be a great game, this game has been important 3 years running now and very close the last two years. Arlington has made great strides over the past 3 years. "LET'S GO MILLINGTON"
Trojanx
Well....Game day. No more practicing for this one. It is up to the players. If the Trojans hold on to the football, cover well on kicks, and contain Arlington QB (stopping the pass game) we win. I dont think they will be able to stop our run game enough to prevent a loss. We already know they are going to load the box, no suprise there, and key on 36. That is ok...we have an answer for that. Come see tonite. Go Trojans!!
