I am not saying he is not a good coach. I am sure he is. Just saying what is the holdup with him being hired? Why is it taking so long is the real question? What is the real reason being mentioned for Hillsboro when he was let go by Franklin? 200 games was not enough to keep him there is the question.

Joined two days ago to beat up this coach on a Metro Board. Creating innuendo. Everyone down Franklin way, we know what happened. It's not a secret. I've never seen a more disgruntled group of folks kicking somebody after they are gone. Big deal is next year to see if FHS can beat 8-4 or come close to Clayton's record. Sad to say, unless Donnie can kick the principal out and pick a real staff, I got a sick feeling this is Henry County revisited.

I think Moreno should have never been let go. He had very little help. He knows as much football as anyone, if not more. Assistant coaches are difficult to get in metro and he had basically none.

I think you may be correct on that matter. However, the principal let him go. Now that means he has to hire someone else. Any word on who that might be at this time. It's almost spring break and they have no coach. Are they the only school with no coach. The clock is ticking. Do you think it's going to be as difficult to get coaches for the "mystery candidate"? I mean as late as it is aren't all of the "good coaches" working already?

I agree with you Sand. Most coaches want to start some kind of weight program and build relationships and get to know the kids. I just find it hard to believe Hillsboro doesn't have a decision made yet. I know metro has its own rules but still. Brentwood isn't hiring til mid-match I think, but their kids have a track record of success. Hillsboro, not so much.

Hillsboro's lack of success is attributed to 2 things. A change in zone and no assistants. I would say that Hillsboro's track record of success out does Brentwood's with the last few years being excluded. I still say that Hillsboro cannot hire assistants,there are no openings for teaching spots.
