Metro Coaching Carousel

I have heard one is a done deal. Although, he should be able to land at one of the other openings. Previous success has never been important to metro principals in the past.

done as in he is out, or done as he is in as the new coach?

The qualifications principals look for are elusive to say the least. Some hires are always head scratchers.

"new" coaches, or the same coaches getting moved to a different school? Which schools do you predict changes?

I have no idea who would be the new coach ,but I do think there will be new faces at some of these schools. As for what school, that should be the left alone for now. Maybe some mid-state coaches will apply also, but be careful what you ask for. In metro you never know who will be hired or what the criteria will be. As I say often, 5 down- 5 across and SSDD.

It ought to be an embarrassment to the city of Nashville to allow their high school football programs to get to the level where most are now. :popcorneater:

Football is just one thing on a long list of things that metro should be embarassed about.

Its does give all the county schools a pretty easy game one in the playoffs in 5A and 6A.

Beyond embarassing AND it cannot be fixed!! (School Director cares very lttle for athletics; he did same for Chattanooga). Only teams that MIGHT have some success are the Pearl-Cohn, Maplewood, Whites Creek, East Lit............they might out athlete the 3A and 4A teams that they might get to face in play-offs. 5A and 6A teams are basically having to compete at a level of competition that they do not have the resources for.........their are some skilled players, but no financial support, little parental support, scarce fan support, along with zero publicity make it a steep hill to climb........Only publicity in Nashville goes to Ricky and the rest of the "privates". Nashville Tn still has good football but it is all "private". Ricky and his bunch can compete with anyone in TN.........including Quarles and Rankin and anyone in 7 AAA.

Old NIL was an excellent football league.........both public and private, but it is long gone and will NEVER return UNLESS there is a concerted effort by a new school director.

IMHO only
