Varies by position. Not knocking the kid, good high school player. Just not a d1 kid. Nothing wrong with that.

Division I is FBS (former 1-A, SEC, ACC) and FCS (former 1-AA, OVC) in football. Trust me on that one. In basketball there's just one Division I grouping though the majors would probably like it split off too.

So HighLife how do you know Steele? Are you an Independence follower? You seem to follow Hillsboro now, so did you once coach at Franklin?

The QB is senior Chase Swayze. 6-1, 190. He is backed up by a junior transfer. They apparently will get some coaching help from a former Eagle QB who had a lot of success.

Both transfers need to stay out of trouble period. Coaches need to do a better job of mentoring good behavior.

You lost all credibility when you said Wharton was not a division 1 DB, what position do you think he has offers from multiple BCS schools at?

I've seen 1000s of d1 athletes and Steele can play at that level. He is as quick as most. Did you see him last year run Mathers down from the back side. If he has a great year D1 is very possible. He will be a standout in D1aa. Jalen Wade is the same. Teams will have a difficult time with these two.

Indy is a state contender this year and will without a doubt have the best defense in the district. I count at least six all-district players on D. With these transfers they have a chance to go all the way.
