tn2164
Don't know much about J P II, but I am expecting a good ballgame. Any thoughts or predictions? Who are the players for J P II to watch out for?
WesVLT
Jacob Polman returns at QB for the Knights. He threw for 184 yards and two scores in a season-opening win over Stratford. JPII's recent struggles are partially a product of a very tough league, but the Knights are 11-5 in non-region games since 2008. They are 2-32 in region games in that same time span. This is an interesting inter-classification matchup. I remember Lincoln County's heyday in the nineties and greatly admire the Falcons' tradition. tn2164
Thanks WesVLT, my son plays OT and I hear they have a pretty good DL for him to match up with. Hopefully it will be a good one. Go Falcons!!!!!! Edited August 30, 2013 by tn2164
FBfan2002
Lincoln County dominated the first half on the line of scrimmage, so kudos to your son, Tn2164, if he were part of the unit that was blowing holes open. Don't know exactly what the adjustment was, but JPII's defense rose up and stopped the run in the second half. Three Lincoln County turnovers in the second half didn't help their cause, either. Not sure why LC coach tried to pass the ball as much as he did, either--from what I saw, he didn't need to do so. JPII won the game 24-14, scoring 17 unanswered in the second half. They play solid ball, are well conditioned, and don't beat themselves.
