Does it occur to anybody that 9 of those fouls were called inside the last 3 minutes of the game when CA was trying to catch up? Give a little credit to Meigs for a good game plan and executing it. Out rebounded a much bigger team and gave no second chance points. Good job Tigers and good luck Friday!

Good job meigs.. But 8 fouls for meigs? Come on now..

Obviously you don't know basketball.  Just because Meigs shot the ball better, hustled harder, and out-rebounded a taller team had absolutely NOTHING to do with them winning the game.  It was those dastardly referees seeing all of those fouls by CA.  It was a conspiracy against CA, agreed on by all 3 refs before the game.

First half fouls...

CA - 9

Meigs - 2

Columbia Academy had 2 players foul out.  I don't think the refs where great but Columbia Academy did not help their cause by playing bad.  Plan and simple Columbia Academy played bad.

Columbia Academy big man missed easy shots over and over early and often.  One of the players that fouled out was basically a non factor early in the first quarter after foul # 2.  Cary twins carried Columbia Academy basically doing all they could do.

Meigs had way too many scoring options.  Multiple players for Meigs hurt CA.  The players coming off the bench knocked down open shots early in the 3rd that really hurt.  Once that started the flood gates opened even after CA made a run at the end of the 3rd.  The player for Meigs that guarded the big man done a great job.

Meigs out rebounded, out shot, out defensed, out hustled, etc... Columbia Academy.  Meigs was the better team.  It's not all on the refs.

Congrats to Columbia Academy on an outstanding season.

Good luck to Meigs Friday.

Fouls did NOT cause Columbia Academy to lose this game. I am neutral fan. Meigs had at least 6 wide open 3's. Columbia Academy missed several lay ups. Not to mention the Columbia Academy coach did a terrible job with adjustments. Meigs exploited that weak zone that Columbia Academy Played. Period!

I think it was CA 25 fouls, Meigs 8

Not to mention the refs ( i don't know if it was the same ones) for the game before really did a good job, BTW had way less fouls than Boyd.  I can't comment on that one because I didn't watch it, but I can guess if it was handled like the CA game one team could do what they wanted and the other couldn't get within 8 inches of the other.  I know CA is a Church of Christ school, but they don't have to regulate it like a nun school dance.

    • Wow I haven't been keeping up with softball had no idea.Been keeping up with baseball and we are slowly fading there.I will check it out!!Thx
    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
