Southeast Regional Freestyle & Greco Training Camp

Hosted by the Spartan Wrestling Club

Summit High School (Spring Hill, TN)

Saturday, May 16, 2015

 

     Do you want to learn how to train for national wrestling tournaments? This is an all ages training camp with two intensive freestyle & Greco-Roman training sessions for wrestlers wanting to get great technique & live wrestling to prepare for the Southeast Regionals in two weeks. This camp will allow wrestlers to train & compete with other wrestlers from across TN that will also be competing in the Southeast Regionals, National Dual Teams, & Fargo Nationals. The training camp sessions will be conducted by Jeramie Welder, TN National Team coach/head coach of WOSBO Wrestling Club, & Pete Miller, TN National Team coach /Spartan Wrestling Club (along with other TN National Team coaches & Spartan Wrestling Club coaches). If you want to be prepared for the regional & national events this summer, then you do not want to miss this training camp!

CLINICIANS: Jeramie Welder (2015 TN FS/GR COACH OF THE YEAR,TN National Team, & WOSBO Coach) & Pete Miller (TN National Team & Spartan Wrestling Club Coach)

 

COST: $20 for SWC & WOSBO members & $25 for non club members

            (Make checks to: Spartan Wrestling Club)

            * Please pay Saturday morning & must have a current USA Wrestling card

              Registration: 8:30 am

              Session 1 - 9:00 am - 11:30 am

              Break 11:30 am - 12:15 pm

              Session 2 - 12:15 pm - 2:30 pm

              *Live wrestling from 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

 

LUNCH: Not provided but concessions will be available

    • Looks like South Pittsburg added some more talent!  
    • So much talk about an investigation about student record manipulation and then everything has went silent. Has anyone heard how the investigation is going?
    • Basically what you're saying is schools can basically bully students around and get away with it because they are protected. I agree to a certain extent but when schools decisions to keep knuckleheads on staff starts costing kids careers and a college education there is a problem. Our school system last week had a teacher supposedly push a kid and the parents went to the law and the teacher is suspended. So I wouldn't say that they can just do what they want without liability. This case don't pass the smell test because the coach had already been fired before and she got fired after a year on the job. Sounds like the student was right in this case on the outside looking in because the coach gets fired after one year. How many coaches get fired after one year?? Not many. 
    • Problem with DB football goes beyond coaching. Like Waco said. Thr band is the main focus of their community and school. They have the resources to be a championship level team. Guarantee Ballard or Witten could have them nationally relevant at some point but everyone down to peewee would have to buy in and at DB we all know that would never happen. 
    • I know the RB from OR he’s fast and has good hands. Is good on special teams also. Didn’t want to play defense over to the Ridge.
