We are transitioning to 18U after a successful summer culminating with ASA Nationals. 

Our coaching staff includes Sue Nevar, a former D1 head coach. Sue is the all time winningest coach in Kent State history. She was an assistant coach at Texas A&M, an assistant coach at Ohio State, and the former head coach at MTSU. We will be having a tryout Saturday Aug. 8, from 6:30 - 8:30 at Ezell Harding Christian School Softball Field, 574 Bell Rd, Antioch, TN 37013. We are looking for high character, driven, athletic girls to play a challenging schedule that will include ASA, PGF, and Exposure tournaments.       I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
