Am I right or wrong? We are making more mistakes late in the season than we were early in the season. That is not improvement.

I saw improvement earlier in the season but not lately. I was not really upset when we lost to DB or Alcoa because I thought we were playing hard. This is not just about wins and losses. It is about this team not competing for 4 Qtrs. If you think the 2nd halfs of the Bearden and Jeff Co games were the best we could do you are crazy.

The offense has played pretty good but the defense hasn't even come close to stopping Bradley. We got a lucky break when they fumbled and it kept us in the game. The Govs will get the ball first in the 2nd half. The first two possessions of the 2nd half will tell the tale of whether the Govs are prepared to stay in this game until the final buzzer.

he got an attitude with me. For the record.... I like Shad and think he is doing a good job on and off the field. I just don't think the team is fully committed and bought into a winning mentality yet. I'm just saying I expect more than I have seen this year. I think Shad does too.... He said it himself earlier in the season "losing is too acceptable here" and that's what it all boils down too. This team is not quite too the point where they are desperate to win. That's what it will take to win in this region.

What was it I said about the Govs not being competitive in the 2nd half of games? But I'm an idiot that doesn't know what he is talking about....

I know the implications behind condescending statements like the one made earlier. The Govs have gotten outscored 28-0 so far in the 2nd half and have given up 59 points total. That's 17 more than they gave up to Maryville. I believe the Govs are better than that and I expect more than that from the team. You can't tell me that is their best effort. This has been a problem all year long. The Govs just don't come to play in the 2nd half of games. Edited October 31, 2015 by Governors91
