Interesting that you have Father Ryan one spot ahead of JPII when JPII beat them, has the same record as Ryan, and JPII's schedule rank is higher

I can see that, it is most likely because of the points spread on all of their other games played.  Their one common opponent also is MBA in which Father Ryan lost by 11 where JPII lost by 22.  It takes every outcome into account.  Now if Father Ryan gets absolutely blasted by Brentwood Academy this week then I could see Pope John Paul jumping them.  With rankings as close as there's right now then it really depends on the outcomes of many other games across the state.

So head to head doesn't account for as much as "common opponents"? Gotcha :popcorneater:

Not what I said, it counts more than common opponents for sure.  Really what it is though is just another data set to look at overall body of work compared to every other teams body of work.  This isn't looking at one game, it is looking at all games played.  So while Pope John Paul was more impressive in that head to head matchup, they have not been for the entire course of the season.  (I say that, but these two teams are so close that it could flip flop on any given week at this point).

    • And that needs to go, Charter ,private ,magnet, city and any school that operates differently than pure public schools should be separated. What really needs to be done is address urban and rural. About all the usual powers have access to several kids from other schools period.
    • Sad deal. Hate it. So the coach that kicked her off is now fired??
    • Slightly off topic from a gender standpoint but just observed several boys volleyball games in the Knoxville area for a short spring season. The guys seemed to have a great time. There were several club players on each team but several football, basketball and tennis players involved. Knoxville Catholic, Maryville, Heritage, Knoxville West maybe William Blount had teams. Thanks to Coach Brent Carter from Knoxville Catholic/K2 for getting it together. I’m sure the coaches involved got several laughs trying to coach guys that really had no idea what they were talking about but pretty athletic and competitive. Catholic’s best basketball player told the coach he had played a lot of 2:3 and 1:3:1 but never a 3:3 LOL Maybe it will catch on with some more schools next year.
