Computer Rankings Hypothetical - 4A

I started posting these rankings on the 5A/6A board last week, so I figured I would add the 4A rankings as well. I'll update these on Monday, and add 3A as well.

 

I'm using the Ohio high school computer ranking system (OHSAA), in order to compare the results to our current setup. The ranking system is composed of two primary scoring components - points are awarded for 1) head-to-head wins, based on an opponent's classification (level 1 points), and 2) your opponents' quality of wins, based on their opponents' classification (level 2 points). If you want to see how these numbers are calculated, the details are in the link above. Note that I haven't normalized the results for teams that have already played 10 games, so Carter, Anderson County, Kingsbury, Ridgeway, Memphis East, and Dyer County will have "slightly" inflated numbers. The top 16 teams from each group would advance to the playoffs.

*The tricky part to this is that anytime a team defeats an out-of-state opponent (or a non-TSSAA sanctioned team), you have to come up with an equivalent classification value for that opponent and track their wins/losses for the entire season. Sullivan South defeated Gate City, VA. Based on Gate City's enrollment, I classified them as 3A (4-5 record currently).
