Nobody can STEAL a player from any team! Wish we could! We would win state EVERY year! youd like to steal a high school kid? you understand that is class I felony in the state of TN. you can not kidnap kids at high school football games. reconsider your morals and then come back to this board. you are ridiculous

MomTo81
PP/MM, what is sad is you bashing Maryville and their top notch coaching staff. Is it because your high school football experience was terrible and now you're taking it out on us/them? Or did you even PLAY football? AlanLadd
Im sorry I hadn't realized that there were MPD detectives on this thread to school me on the intricacies of theft. Talking about stealing kids to win games. I know a Bluecross championship is the most coveted achievement in the state but come on yall. This just proves my point about morally corrupt. Red Rebel fans have to criticise precision of language because they know they can't defend the recruiting they do. Im surprised they haven't hired Kelvin Lane yet. He could out recruit Bear Bryant and Nick Saban at the same senior midget football game.

Close the open zone then refund the tuition paid and let's see how top notch the coaching is. I have on good information that a young man lived in the neighborhood across from Bear kountry but went to Maryville High. Explain that one. You do know there are plenty of split families right? Only one parent has to have a Maryville City address. And there are so many other rules that allow kids to go to schools in different cities/counties. IDK if you live in Maryville City and get the same MCS handbook each year as I do, but all of the zoning guidelines/rules and exceptions are in there.

AlanLadd
Is it the coaching or is it not? Youins can't have it both ways. All of those boys are not zoned for Merville. Hammondtree is doing all he can to keep athletes in the Heritage zone but they are getting poached. If the coaches are so great why are yall so scared for a closed zone? I have an Alcoa player in my neighborhood. My guess is, his parents are divorced b/c I only see him a few times a week and every other weekend. I don't go running around yelling Rankin is stealing kids from Maryville. There is a reason behind everything and so many are SO QUICK to judge. toughD
Not claiming anyone is recruiting, but there does need to be stricter guidelines on residency. For example, split parents, that student should be expected to live at the house in school zone during the week. If the student is gone during the week, when school is supposed to happen, then that is suspect.
atrisk
I have no dog in this conversation, but how big of an area do ya think the Catholic players come from. It just seems the answer is.....go to the school that ya live nearest. Public division. Open zone (and loophole) division. Private division.
