Coaches,

Our Individual tournament was cancelled due to weather.  We have rescheduled our tournament for 1/20/2018.  If you are looking to get matches late in season due to cancellations because of weather we would love for you to consider our tournament.  Custom Rings for weight class winners and medals through 4th place.  If interested please contact Ryan Gibson Head Wrestling Coach of Pisgah High School at 828-734-6103 or at rgibson@haywood.k12.nc.us.  We are located just across TN border in Haywood County exit right off of I-40.  Thank You.

2018 Johnson-Stamey Mill Town Invitational

 

GENERAL INFORMATION

 

Date:                                      Saturday, January 13th, 2018  -  Postponed to 1/20/18

 

Place:                                     Pisgah High School, Canotn, NC

 

Teams Invited:                     Elkin, Patton, Pisgah, NW Whitfield (GA),

 

Seeding:                                 We will seed as follows:

1)       State placers (during ANY season, with most recent having preference)

2)       State qualifiers (during ANY season, with most recent having preference)

3)       The 2017-2018 record with a 15 match minimum

 

Entry Fee:                             $175.00 (Varsity only) 

 

Make checks payable to Pisgah High School Wrestling

 

 

Awards:                                 Medals will be awarded to 2nd – 4th places in each weight class; Championship rings will be awarded to the Individual Champion;  a trophy to the team champion and runner-up; a plaque to the most outstanding wrestler.

                                                We will wrestle back for 5th & 6th

 

Tickets:                                  Admission by ticket only.  Wrestlers and managers will be stamped at weigh-ins, and coaches will be supplied with wristbands for admission to the hospitality area.

 

Admission Price:                  $10 for all day.  $20 Family pass.

 

Locks and Towels:              Wrestlers will be provided a place to change.  Wrestlers are responsible for their own

                                                Items and cannot hold Pisgah High School responsible for lost or stolen items.

                                                Tables will also be provided for wrestlers to bring outside food in via cooler.

We will wrestle 4 mats if we have enough teams all the way through til the Finals.

    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State. 
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014. 
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
