Blackman 53 - Shelbyville 41

In a very ugly game, Blackman beat Shelbyville 53-41. This was not one of the prettier games in High School hoops history..... Blackman is a team that is going to be tough to beat as the season progresses.....

 

Blackman

-Jr G David Price was unbelievable, hitting for 22 points on 5 threes, while adding 9 boards and 3 assists.... He has the prettiest outside shot that I have seen this year.... He is a pure shooter, but an even better baseball player.... It's too bad in some ways, because Price could be a special, special basketball player, and is still a Top 20 player in the Class of 2004.....

-Kris Lee hit for 12 points on 4-7 FG.....

-Isaiah Phillips added 6 assists, while Nathan Stephens had 8 points....

-Blackman was 18-43 shooting (41% FG), and 7-17 3pt (41%)....

 

Shelbyville

-Jr F Aled Marable came off the bench with some inspired play, with a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds, along with 2 blocks and 2 steals......

-G DeQuan Twilley, the team's leading scorer, had just 8 points and 2 assists, but did add 5 boards....

-Dominique Tillmand and DJ Phelps each had 6 points....

-Chase Williams and Jared Ester each added 5 points....

-Shelbyville's shooting was obismal, shooting just 26% from the field (13-49 FG).... It's hard to win games shooting 26%....

hey gomab, what are your thoughts on tuesday night game bewteen blackman and oakland? i think it will be a great game and is very crucial game for both teams to get a good start in district 7. so what do u think?
